wow must have been a really good head coach then ! if they decided him over Juvinille

posted 4 months ago

Wow.., GE seems to be doing well with the former LEV coach...I wonder why they let him go? They must have had a better coaching staff

posted 4 months ago

Depends on who G2 get to replace Jaw but they would def be top 2/1

I think Potter will def be able to utilize Demon1 on astra/chamber while Jaw runs duelist -

It is worth questioning what evidence supports the notion that Itopata is an effective coach.

2023: He coached APEKS, a team that lost in the finals of ascension against M8s, a team that performed abysmally in t1 that won ascension relying on individual performances.

2024: Working alongside Goked, his team struggled with a poor performance in Kickoff and a decent Split 1, which can be solely attributed to individual players, as their actual strats were destitute and their wins were commonly due to individual players popping off. Their performance at Shanghai was similarly poor, which led to head coach Goked being let go.

Later in 2024, with Juvenille coaching by his side, the team saw a notable improvement in Split 2, finishing 3rd at Champions.

However, attributing this success to Itopata remains challenging due to the lack of transparency regarding the division of coaching responsibilities. To gain perspective, it is useful to assess the subsequent performance of the coaches he collaborated with:

Goked is currently leading M8, a team that had a solid kickoff and is performing exceptionally well in Split 1, demonstrating well-developed strategies and fundamentals, upsetting the former 2nd best EMEA team, Team Liquid, in a very convincing manner.

Juvinille is now coaching GE, who faced a difficult kickoff due to the need for an emergency substitute. Nevertheless, their Split 1 performance has been remarkable, with with great strategies and strong fundamentals.

In contrast, Itopata's 2025 record:

Kickoff: The team managed a single victory against Furia, who were severely disadvantaged after arriving from Brazil just eight hours before the match and at the time were the 2nd worst team in the region.

Split 1: The team's performance has been abysmal, with ineffective strategies, seemingly horrible player management and agent picks, and results placing them among the weakest across all four regions.

TLDR: He is part of the 70%

Rossy can play sentinel/smokes/initator at a high level
Kingg can play smokes and flex at a high level
C0M can play initator and viper at a high level
Tex can play sentinel and duelist at a high level
Demon1 can play Jett/Chamber/Brim/Astra at a high level

the players roles arent the issue its the person choosing them for them

ngl now that I see current lev vs current GE I think juvinile was the brains behind their split 2/champs run

posted 4 months ago

Who tf is blaming him for no latam players? he has a arguable S tier roster

posted 4 months ago

I mean...if you had Rossy dropping nukes right before this...Kingg being one of the best players in the region...c0m having an amazing champs...tex being one of the best in the region...+demon1 former best player in the world who you got to watch just how he was misused

its kinda on you when none of them perform

at what time do we stop blaming the players (all world renowned considered S/A tier before they joined) and start putting the blame on this guy?

I'm absolutely sick and tired of these smurfs ruining my games. You might not see them as often, but in my elo, it's practically guaranteed every fifth match is a total nightmare. It’s exhausting to deal with people who queue up on low-ranked accounts just to stomp on players who are actually trying to climb. They breeze through games without a care, dropping ridiculous scores and making the experience miserable for everyone else. And the worst part? There’s almost nothing we can do about it. Reporting feels pointless because, by the time Riot even considers taking action, the smurf has already moved on to a new account. It’s infuriating knowing that these people are intentionally ruining the competitive integrity of the game just because they want an ego boost.

What makes it even more frustrating is how laughably easy it is for smurfs to create multiple accounts. The current system using email verification is a complete joke. Anyone can make a throwaway email in minutes and be back in the queue smurfing away. There’s zero accountability. Riot keeps talking about wanting to maintain competitive fairness, but how can that be possible when the door is left wide open for smurfs to thrive? Every game that’s supposed to be a genuine test of skill turns into a one-sided stomp because someone decided it’d be “fun” to ruin others’ experience. And don’t even get me started on the Ranked matchmaking system that somehow thinks throwing a smurf into a mid-elo lobby is “balanced.”

The solution is right there, and it’s baffling that Riot hasn’t implemented it yet. One account per phone number. Simple. Effective. Sure, some people might complain, but it’s a small price to pay for a healthier competitive environment. Phone numbers are far harder to spoof than emails, and implementing this system would instantly reduce the number of smurf accounts. And if someone wants a second account that badly? They should have to go through the extra effort of verifying it through an actual number. It’s not like phone number verification is some groundbreaking concept — other competitive games have already done it with positive results. There’s no reason Riot shouldn’t follow suit.

It’s exhausting to see people abuse the system just because they can. Climbing the ranks is hard enough without the constant threat of running into a smurf. Every loss against one feels like a waste of time. And if youre asking is this in response to me losing my rank up to a smurf and losing 29 rr? the answer is yes.

Fuck smurfs and fuck riot for making it easy for them.
