top 4 in emea rn, below TH TL fighting with BBL for toronto, if FUT get back into form and make a lowers run they might be in contention aswell, dont think they really have much of a chance at beating TL or TH unless they have insane anti on TL's lotus or something and have alfa back in form, hopefully they work out some of their problems for toronto at least if they make it, think they do have the potential to be in the same tier as TH TL

personally below regionals, the format is so shit its 4 days total and 27 games total, thats over 6 games a day, in group stage winning teams have to play back to back matches on the same day, the entire thing is going to be based on which good team gets an easy group and then a good side of the bracket because its single elim once you make playoffs, any team that can avoid showing strats cause they have a shit opponent will own.

i like, half agree with what your saying, teams that dont use tejo as much will adapt easier, but thats not a reason to not use tejo lmao, cause first seed is 2 extra weeks and that time is worth more than the extra time from not using tejo at all lmao

i think TH are in a crazy spot to win toronto, their worst map is leaving for historically their best map, they already only use tejo on lotus icebox, icebox is an easy swap for gecko to go back to their champs comp and so they only have to rework lotus and sunset. they are already leaning heavy into double duelist on a bunch of maps and its been frying, i think the only thing that might fuck them is they dont really have someone to play a second senti and i think double senti might be meta once tejo dies.

entirely depends on what the team is aiming for, EWC > master but champs > ewc in prize pool and winning a master basically guarentee's champs qual cause of points, from a respect and legacy level no one is taking EWC over masters cause the format is dog shit

his shanghai performance was nothing to do with him on duelist cause immediately after going back to emea he went +28 playing only initiator and that same stage(stage 2 emea) he played duelist multiple times and never had a performance like shanghai again, then he had a fairly poor champs, woots form is unrelated to him being on duelist, he just had an incredible tournament and happened to be on duelist while doing it.

TH already look like they have a read on the meta not using tejo, which might help them, leaning into the double duelist stuff with woot miniboo feels like a solid read on the meta going into toronto and they already look very comfortable with it, on top of that they only use tejo on 3 maps rn, their icebox which they can swap back to the gecko easily, lotus which might require actual rework and fracture which they havent played since kickoff and is getting removed, so they need to change their lotus and then go back to their champs comp on icebox, and they lose their worst map in exchange for historically their best map, they have less time but also compared to a team like G2 have less to change.

its not about being a fan of the circuit its about i only care to watch so much valorant, so i prio the stuff in the tier 1 circuit, watching EWC and EWC quals is more valo to watch when i dont even watch all the valo in VCT, and i cant imagine a single costreamer would prio watching EWC stuff over VCT stuff without a paycheck, and afaik no costreamers are currently costreaming every game from every region so why would they start costreaming stuff from another circuit when they arent even watching everything from the circuit they already follow.

to be clear i dont think any of these players are BAD, i think they are overrated
China: KangKang - incredible player, not a GOAT contender just a cracked duelist, there are 3 duelists on his level in every region imo
Pacific: Forsaken - incredible player, very flexible, gets overly praised for being the only consistent part of an inconsistent team
Emea: flor or sayf - flor just cause she gets absurd hype, sayf is cracked on duelist and mid on every other role in the game
americas: jawgemo - this one im least confident about cause i think its a little form related, but i dont think hes a top 3 duelist in americas tbh

again, all of these players are incredible players, i just think people rate all of them too high

VIT at bangkok and kickoff were playing borderline the exact same style of valorant with very similar utility for derke's entries, he was a top 4 rated player at bangkok, 100% he is not getting the same support as in FNC, and i 100% agree that part of the issue hes facing is that hes used to safer entry pathing and better supportive utility from his team, but he didnt have either of those things at bangkok or in kickoff and he was still looking like one of the best players in the world, i think FNC's system and style allowed for him to be an incredibly consistent duelist that could still frag when he wasnt in lightning hot form and VIT's system leaves him in very feast or famine positions that rely heavily on his raw mechanical ability, but he is 100% without a doubt ALSO in a slump rn, its just that VITs system makes the slump look considerably worse because the system puts him in shitty positions, but hes still slumping
