Because 2023 EG and FNC sorta revolutionized Valorant in 2023 and people associate that as "would still be the goats today" People already think of everything before franchising as plumber years (except x team who won fans) which is why teams like Gambit, Loud, Optic who also revolutionized the game are not remembered that fondly and all those players have had years to fall off whereas the 2023 (FNC/EG) players are all either still good or people think "if only EG stayed together they would be good"

the games gotten much better so it's hard to revolutionise the game further, there is a ceiling point where fundamentals can't get higher and strats can't go more in depth

and since we haven't had teams revolutionise the game people think of these teams as "weak" except G2 idk why people glaze them so much compared to the rest
