Placement. The points spot would go to whoever is the next highest team
the 1st seed from every region goes straight to playoffs
i think its disingenuous to take out specifically the DFM and GE games only to judge him. I think a more accurate way to look at it is that the split had up and downs, BUT since patmen joined the team Jinggg had a 1.3 rating and has looked MUCH MUCH better than kickoff and the beginning of the split. It was a rocky split, but Patmen coming in and helping some of the roles seems to have helped Jinggg find a pretty good groove. Sample size matters, and we will see in the future if he can continue to play like this, or if it was a nice streak
in Americas the only maps that have over 50% defense win rate are Pearl and Split, at 51% and 50 respectively. In Pacific, its Pearl, Split, Ascent, and Lotus. Ascent and Split being considered the most CT sided maps we have means its not really out of the ordinary for those 2. In China its Pearl Split and Ascent, as well as Lotus at exactly 50%. EMEA is the only region that really stands out here as it includes Split, Pearl, Ascent, but also Icebox and Fracture as well. For all regions other than EMEA, these numbers are quite normal. Pearl was historically a close map that leaned a tiny bit in the defensive direction, but the emergence of the Vyse wall on B becoming the common meta has lead to the numbers moving even more towards defense. This does not really show an example of something wildly out of the ordinary with the meta making maps defensive sided. There is a pretty good balance of maps swaying toward defense and maps leaning toward offense. Tejo certainly is a problem, and sentinels are certainly quite good, but it is not affecting the results of maps in an overly problematic matter at this time
This was a jitboys call. They gave the reigns over to Jit for the week. Frost has said multiple times that this season is all about making champs and pushing to win it there. They gave up the week so they could get Jit more comfortable seeing the map and calling for the others on the team
Hyunmin has been UNREAL. Probably gonna be somewhere between him and Xeus by the end of the year
no Screwface on a new EG roster is gonna make me scream. Dude needs a chance and theres no better than right now for them
Gremlins 2
if you remember one of the biggest reasons Loud struggled in Copenhagen was because of their small map pool. A lot of teams probably see things like that happen on the biggest stage and it can be a wake up to really get as much mastered as you possibly can if you want to be the best
if it cant be 100T then i hope dicey can pop off at champions
I think if the meta still ends up being heavily leaning towards neon, it provides a great opportunity for sick to step up as that kind of player. I view it similarly to Victor where going from the non-jett duelist to initiator in the duelist starved meta hurt the players' opportunities to shine, but with neon coming back combined with the main Op role going to chamber players there is a good opening for those duelist non-op players to find their groove once again
100T makes me nervous with the comps that they are running and the way they are playing maps that they seem to like (Ascent, Haven, Icebox). I think undoubtedly this is a team with talent enough to qualify on that, but they seem too much in their own heads and get scared of playing the fundamentals during their matches. I can only hope the best tho
Optic is one of the top teams in the world in COD, Halo, and Val. Theyll be fine popularity-wise
i dont believe pearl is in until champions
less of a fluke but i think they have really found a home behind the idea that ONE of either dicey or babybay is statistically likely to have a good game and their ability to play around and support the carry of the game is quite impressive truly. They do a better job than most that ive seen of letting the fragger go crazy and giving help to enable them
bad bait? The most common comp is no viper. Lots of EMEA supplements brim and sage to replace viper. Many NA teams have the Optic comp which is no viper
Im happy with everyone thats left. I have partiality to s0m and ethan, but I also want to cheer for dicey. Optic is Optic and I think they should make it for the sake of masters being as high level as possible, and its hard not to cheer for XSET just because theyve had so long of being close to the top and havent gotten to be there yet. These playoffs and the LCQ leading to Champions will be very fun indeed
wasnt NIP top 2 in brazil last stage? Does furia really get the nod over them?
L 100T fan kicking a team while theyre down
the more the merrier tho im happy if more people are cheering for 100T. They are a fun ass team to watch and the fact that every player on the team is a fragger makes them a fun highlight reel team. I understand why people might like cheering for 100T
frosty could be a huge pickup if PK is looking to sell. In the scenario that thwifo is looking to step away, it would allow you to keep most of the core with dynamic and pwny, and slot in frosty to play sentinel/help with steel and autumn when it comes to getting a playbook ready. Theres a possibility that if they decide to later move on from steel that frosty can become the new igl and lead the team. It overall feels like a high value pickup that should be explored
Fade being a part of the meta now is going to completely change the power rankings we think of with these NA teams. Its now really just a competition of who can adapt to this the quickest. Hard to rank anybody honestly. Just have to have faith that those that are on top are on top for a reason and that theyll stay there because of it
i had no clue the challengers was gonna be on LAN thats awesome. Cant wait to watch
What is the name of the tournament? So I can keep up
anyone commenting on either side of this match is an idiot. It didnt prove 100T is terrible nor did it show any "top NA team" level promise. Just GG and go next and hope it looks better
Cringe take. Akrew worked their asses off fighting through the tier 2 scene and establishing themselves as a team worth competing for the top of NA. Their first tournament battling to be considered tier 1 they make a massive run and show they can hang with all these other teams. Only teams they lost to are a team that didnt drop a map the whole bracket and a team that qualified. I have good faith they can qualify in the second open quali
