Apparently teams weren't told prior to this announcement when they would be resuming play. Team management was told and the info was not passed onto coaches and players for whatever reason (https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1450552013381582851?s=20)

Seems a bit bizzare tbh.

And yet no one talks about him?

Prior to LCQ i legit did not know about the guy so it may be bias on my part but to each their own i suppose.

posted about 2 years ago

He's still underrated though no?

Some motherfucker here said Tenz was underrated LMFAO so I think i get this

I mean I guess but even still it's hardly going to be a "fine life".

You will literally be farming grass to eat for dinner my guy, neither option is good so why are you acting like one is? There is a reason people frequently attempt to defect from NK, they're fucking crazy LOL

They're literally as bad as each other LMFAO

2 have active conflicts, the other has famine, dictatorship, and has been in an unstable truce for like 20 years with South Korea and the US

The Japanese Passport is statistically speaking the best passport in the world to have but you need to give up any citizenship you have and be classed only as a Japanese citizen. But again, it is the best passport to get.

I'm assuming that this is in a post COVID scenario? Otherwsie who knows how long it will be before the world fully opens up to the point that we can have LAN tournaments for all masters tourney's. If you're talking about current climates then having OCE playing with the Asia region is rough considering they already fucked up getting their visa's for Berlin.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean CR almost beat Gambit tbf LMFAO and it proved to be the most hype match of Berlin.
JP is bad for sure but they do have star talent and the scene will only grow more and more as time goes on.
The Valorant JP scene is literally booming from popularity, they provide the most views of any region its actually quite insane.

But on to your point, if that's what you meant by overperformed then yes they did. They wildly exceeded expectations and honestly could have won it all given that they beat FS in the upper bracket finals only to face them again.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean then he's agreeing then. I'm also saying it would take too much time and the players wouldn't want to play that long. I'm just saying that it would be cool to see them play all 7 maps but obviously the time makes in inconceivable

posted about 2 years ago

My best guess is that they are unhappy that SMB bombed out of both Berlin and LCQ. A bit hasty on the part of management but I'm sure these players will be picked up by someone

posted about 2 years ago

I can't tell if you're agreeing with my point or disagreeing with my point?

Bruh... imagine being this angry for no reason LOL.

Who hurt you?

posted about 2 years ago

I mean Zeta Div aren't even playing until next year anyway. But Nth literally 2-0'd F4Q and PR to move onto Finals against FS.

Do I think they got lucky that DMW and Nuturn both shit the bed? Yes.

Does that take away from Nth? Not at all.

posted about 2 years ago

Ahhhhhh okay makes sense. Still Northeption did so well then considering they were thelast second replacement wtf.

Korean Jett hits different but I'm sad we won't see Seoldam play in champions ngl

posted about 2 years ago

I swear Zeta would've been in champions if they didn't pull out? or would they have had to go through LCQ as well?

I mean it's still sadge but isn't that what happened?

posted about 2 years ago

Nah... I'm sticking with you being hella confident because my future self needs it LOL

posted about 2 years ago

After today im done with this game, at least until they fix this bullshit matchmaking. The game is like casino, either you get really good teammates 3 matches in a row or you get some trollers 3 matches in a row. Plus low skill gap, that makes me nervous.

Fix your game Riot (the free classic, that run and gun shit, the prices of weapons and that judge cause big gap between skills here)

People gonna say learn how to play than cry etc, but im immo1 peak in EU and im not planning going pro so i wanna have at least fun while i solo queue and not getting tilted.

Im gonna watch valo esports tho cause its intersting and gonna be active on the forum. Drop your opinions on the game if you think like I think or maybe if you disagree too, but please not troll comments, but arguments.

The confidence you have to put XSET in there when 3 matches of NA LCQ have been played is something I want to have when I have to propose to my future wife.

posted about 2 years ago

BRUH...

I really thought you were like some crazy guy thinking that like CR was legit better than EU #2.

Don't give me hope man. I just want CR to do well ;-;

posted about 2 years ago

I know JP had like 80-100K and that the main broadcast had like 54K-ish. It's unfortunate because dota Ti was going on at the same time so they peaked at like 340K. EMEA had higher viewership though iirc

Hi gold 3 here. Am I breaking the Law?

Nah but for real I've played plat games and they felt like gold games so I think the sense of stagnation or of lack of improvement in players is felt throughout most ranks unless you are smurfing tbh

posted about 2 years ago

This is a stupid take LMFAO.

I literally feel lost on KJ and sometimes Viper because they require precise timing and utility usage.

Viper is the most mentally demanding agent in the game imo because you need to be constantly aware of positions of the enemy in order to get good timing when pushing through wall or using ult.

KJ is hard to play because you need to be able to read the opposing team and set up where they are going to play. I would go so far to say the only strong part of her kit is the ult and the alarmbot for info but even then the KJ ult is usually destroyed by a sova ult or smth similar.

Saying that they are easy to play is fucking stupid tbh

posted about 2 years ago

Are you saying that CR are better than Acend/Fanatic? (i forget who the EU #2 is but still...)

What kinda conspiracy theory BS are you consuming LMFAO

posted about 2 years ago

who...

asked.

posted about 2 years ago

Most likely. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Unless the players get together and state they want a different way of doing things and Riot listen which is entirely possible but I can't imagine them wanting to play a Bo5 the entirety of group stage tbh

posted about 2 years ago

LMFAO.

Nah he got me the same then I looked at it and was like "ahhhhhh i see now"

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah... that was my point against the Bo7. Bo3 to Bo5 is fine and has been proven to work though so all good.

posted about 2 years ago

It would be cool to see two teams play all maps in the game to see who is truly the better team but that would be literal hours of playtime. Viewers don't have the patience to watch all the games non-stop so viewership would fluctuate wildly

posted about 2 years ago

Nah... he's talking about the pools for drawing the groups LOL

I was a bit confused at first by what he meant but you pick one from each pool to form the group. He's essentially theorycrafting potential groupings

posted about 2 years ago

Oh I mean it would be dope don't get me wrong. But if you do that the finals feels like it has the same impact as the rest of the tourney instead of if it went from Bo3 to Bo5 imo. Having the amount of games played increase in the Finals is a great way of telling the viewers that this is the do or die match.

posted about 2 years ago

what.

Bo1 is legit the worst way to run the penultimate tournament that the masters have been leading up to. Just keep it as it is now where it's a Bo3 until finals where it becomes Bo5. (I had a thought of saying Bo5 to Bo7 but realised there is not enough time in the day and it would just become and endurance match).

Even if you mean just for the group stages it's still bad. Nothing good comes from Bo1 other than unhappy and unfulfilled fans and players.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean if the grand finals are between two powerhouse teams like Sentinels and Liquid for example then i can 100% see viewership exploding. On the other hand I can also see viewership not being as good if it is either a powerhouse vs a team like Acend or two underrated teams. (I'm avoiding mentioning teams like CR and VS just because the fanbases for these two teams in their own regions is massive enough to make up for the lack in branding. Plus if CR somehow make it to finals then like ggs i guess they popped off and viewership would more than likely EXPLODE LMFAO.)

posted about 2 years ago

It dependson how good Sentinels look when Champions come around because the performance they had at Berlin was their second worst performance of all time (I believe iirc) so it could either be the early signs of Sentinels dominance ending or they could look like their old selves come Champions. It's hard to say but I think this will be THE most competitive international tournament we see in terms of each teams strength

posted about 2 years ago

12 days seems fair for travelling and the interim practice some teams might get during the period... dunno why you're making such a big deal out of the number of days LOL.

Better this than having a janky ass "LAN" event where players are unhappy and complaining the whole time about shitty setups ect.

posted about 2 years ago

Haven't seen it personally so I'll hold onto the belief that A Silent Voice is still a 10/10 and nothing has quite reached it's peak yet

posted about 2 years ago

Jett's entire purpose is the OP agent. She has a multi-directional dash that you can't punish and she has her ult which whilst nerfed by the right click still provides insanse economical value when looking to save for an OP or as a secondary weapon for close range when OPing.

The issue isn't Jett herself. It's that Jett is the only agent who uses the OP because of her dash. Increasing the price of the OP won't fix it because then the gun balancing itself becomes an issue and you never want an option locked off for being too pricey in a game like Valorant so the dash has to be nerfed to a point where Jett falls in line with the other agents and is no longer the only person who can play OP

posted about 2 years ago

You have literally just designed a new agent with a similar ult LOL

posted about 2 years ago

For real though, it's a good thing they've done this instead of keeping on with the way it was but I mean my preds might have been saved by this... no more LAN Faze means Rise could win PauseChamp

posted about 2 years ago

Hence why i put LAN in quotation marks. I know they aren't playing on LAN lol but having one team play in their own setups vs another who must play at the event (which was an early rumour of what would happen to Faze vs Rise) breaches the fair play balance of the tournament

posted about 2 years ago

I mean from the twitter talkroom that George Geddes hosted during the brodcast delays multiple players fell a strong lack of clear direction or communication from Riot. Obviously Riot should be doing a better job and should be communicating a lot better with the players.

I've also seen people asking about whether or not the players could play from their hotel rooms, and according to Babybay the hotel room, despite never having a server lag out, has frequent ping spiking issues. Plus having these two teams play online while all the other teams play on "LAN" breaches the competitive integrity of the tournament and creates an unfair playing field amongst the competitiors.
