Good player, but his name also sounds so cool.
I remember Foxie when he shit-talked BIG and how no teams should ever lose to them and proceeded to get knocked out by BIG in Chal 3 stage 2 qualifiers.
Lets go DAMWON, let Khan win a championship before military

How the fuck did REJECT actually play close to FS? FS must have been trolling that match.
As long as Japanese teams don't get shitstomped I'll be satisfied. They have been playing better than I expected.
Yea I definitely underestimated SamuraiD.
I was honestly expecting at max 6 rounds per map score for RC, but it's a lot closer than I expected.
I was planning to stay up for the F4Q vs Nth game, but I think I'll just sleep early to wake up for LoL instead.
FENNEL: Lowest seeded Japanese team. Did alright against BOOM
REJECT: Lost two of their best players (Dep/Hareee)
Nth: Dunno we have to see how they do vs F4Q
Sure Japan is probably in contention for the worst region in Asia, but I don't think we're that bad. Iceland was terrible, but we clearly showed some improvements in Berlin.
Stop embarrassing yourself fake flagger, sorry your anime waifu rejected you (didn't think that was possible!!)
They can't, it would coincide with LoL worlds.
I heard the actual event is supposed to be a LAN event at Singapore.
Yea, Japan has a lot of popular streamers that co-stream the tournaments. I personally watch StylishNoob's co-stream, but the main stream is also enjoyable since the casters are amazing. I think the chat is a lot more bearable compared to NA/EMEA since there aren't that many spammers from other regions (besides the occasional when is Northeption playing? spam). Hopefully Japan can perform well at Berlin.
Are the seedings already decided?
Yea I guess getting first seed would be more beneficial if it was GSL where Seed 1 would face Seed 4 for the first match.
Your seeding: 1(1st EMEA, 2nd EMEA, 1st NA, 2nd NA)
Since you place NA1/2 and EMEA1/2 in the same pool (seed 1), wouldn't that make the challenger's finals of their respective region pointless? Winning or losing the regional finals has zero benefits/drawbacks. When I said grand-finals I was talking about the regional finals, not the Berlin finals. Maybe that's where the misunderstanding comes from.
The second option I had makes NA challenger's finals pointless, but it rewards NA for winning Masters 2, and NUTURN for placing third.
I think Riot will definitely use the SEA Challengers 3 Finals format. 1 region per group, and each group has 3 bo2 games.
I think the seeding might be different though since your seeding would make the grand-finals match pointless for EMEA and NA. Also, the SEA format has the champion of each sub-region getting the first seed. I would assume Seed 1 would have 1 NA, EMEA, BR, and KR.
Another seed 1 allocation could be 2 NA, 1 EMEA, and 1 KR, since NUTURN did make top 3 at Iceland.
Sept 9 -19, there are 11 days of potential game days in this tournament.
Southeast Asia Challengers 3 Finals is played within a similar time frame (Aug 11 - 22). Since the last Masters event used the same format as the Southeast Asia Challengers 2 Finals, I feel like this format could be used. The only issue I have is the 3 bo1 group stage games.
What does everyone think the tournament format will look like?
