I wouldn’t be surprised if ~7/10 gambit fans come from outside the CIS region.

They might not be the best, but what matters is that they look good (considering the players are pretty young).

There’s a siege tournament and LEC going on and 100k viewers is what most Esports would dream of. It’s fine.

Yea that’s why some classes like math I try my best to understand. For example Calculus is so much easier if you actually understand algebra.

I think a separate league is meant to showcase potential talent that can later be integrated into mix teams. A Women league allows for more women to participate in the comp scene without having to be harassed for their gender. Allowing Women to participate in both leagues allow them to not only have a safer environment to grow as a player but also potentially showcase their talent vs better competition. It’s just hard for them to stay motivated if they get harassed for their gender whenever they lose.

Fisker returned to his former team (FAV gaming)

ZMM is actually pretty decent. Wins against radiance/soar and played close games vs Geng/rise.

  1. Zeta division (if Dep can return to decent form)
  2. Crazy Raccoon
  3. Sengoku (really like GangPin I think he will have a breakout year.
  4. Igzist (Lakia magic? Worried about potential communication issues)
  5. BlueBees (smth poggers, but I wonder how changing million will go)

Regarding the BBI come up, I think the roster itself was sort of falling off towards the end, since they lost to Feeling (Sengoku) and Fennel. Maybe adding Lakia and Ask will change that.

Edit: changed from art to ask

Don’t unofficial translators work for free? Tbh I don’t think an inconsistent schedule is that big of an issue

Wow, no wonder Patiphan moved to owl. So much more secure money.

I think it depends on how ESC and DK perform. If they look competitive against VS I would say Japan’s chances are slim.

Popogachi is also rumored joining. He's a promising Sova player. I think Jett for Seoldam and Sova for popogachi, but the other roles are going to be interesting. Neth can probably cover smokes, but I wonder who will be playing the Sentinel role. The team should be qualifying for Masters on skill alone.

I could see TL losing to ACE tomorrow. It would be so Liquid to choke after talking in interviews about how no team can challenge them

Gambit is struggling, but they are also the team everyone is trying to prepare against. Being able to reach the semi-finals (even though they are close games) shows how good Gambit is despite everyone having more information. However, I think KRU will win because they have so much momentum atm.

I think the TL/ACE series will come down to whether TL is willing to ban Bind. We have yet to see Fracture from both teams, so I'm hoping Fracture goes through the bans.

I think it's possible unless Gambit really prepared on Icebox after losing against Secret.

posted about 2 years ago

They can probably take the entire series since Gambit looked shaky versus Team Secret.

It definitely sucks for VK, but based on the way they played VK should win the rematch against ACE (given Envy and VK win their respective match).

posted about 2 years ago

If I were an VK fan I would mald super hard if Acend somehow manage to beat Envy

posted about 2 years ago

I'm pretty sure 0 bans or map pick loss against Envy would have been fine, why did Riot just give the map loss to VK???
I'm sure VK is fine though if they rematch Acend they are still favored.

Aren't Keyd actually pretty decent on Split? They did beat ZETA on their map pick and almost beat KRU (A map which ZETA beat KRU)

I wonder if T1 could potentially move to Japan and make a mixed roster. If the roster is built well you could have an internationally decent roster that could get a lot of fans. T1 also has some recognition from their time in Apex Legends. For example, T1 could build around GangPin, a young talent that already has experience playing in Japan.

Pool 1:

  • Gambit (Masters 3 Champ)
  • Sentinels (NA #1)
  • Acend (EMEA #1)
  • Vision Strikers (KR #1)
    Pool 2:
  • KRU (LATAM #1)
  • Vikings (BR #1)
  • X10 Esports (SEA #1)
  • Envy (NA #2)
    Pool 3:
  • Vivo Keyd (BR #2)
  • Fnatic (EMEA #2)
  • Crazy Raccoon (JP #1)
  • Team Secret (SEA #2)
    Pool 4 (Last Chance):
  • Team Liquid (EMEA LC)
  • C9 Blue (NA LC)
  • FURIA (SA LC)
  • FULL SENSE (APAC LC)

EMEA has 2 pool 1 teams only because Gambit won Berlin. I think it makes sense to give Master 3 champion a pool 1 slot separate from EMEA/NA.
Vision Strikers over other regions in pool 1 since Korea has the third best results internationally.
Envy over Fnatic in pool 2 since Envy has the better recent performance.

I'll form my opinions of FNC when they play the Red Bull tournament.

I think BOOM is a solid tier 2 team. I can see X10, TS, PRX, FS taking series off of each other, but I don't see BOOM taking a series off of any of the four teams.

posted about 2 years ago

Pretty good list. Besides VS at first I think most of the tier 1 apac teams are similar in strength.

Would suck if the matches are replayed but I think 100 Thieves are fine. XSET might be an issue, but XSET/LG match was close, so it could become a LG/100T match instead.
