Riens shot to mask the sound of his drop onto site. Boaster thought he dropped so he wanted to jiggle. Since Boaster wasn't aware of Riens actual on the site, he didn't want to risk getting insta headshotting while jiggling. So, he first dropped a smoke before jiggling very tightly during the animation to catch Riens off guard.

However, Riens held his trigger and didn't shoot. Not giving away his position. Also, even though the smoke animation was still in the middle of popping, the game still registers the line of sight as having been obscured, so he didn't appear on the minimap. This made fnatic think it was either a fake drop or Riens was scaling on Boaster, because boaster specifically cleared the possibility of him having scaled to stair side on.

These guys are pro players, Kaajak would never be comfortable with leaving such a massive gap unless he was certain it didn't exist.

The smoke broke line of sight in the game code, even though the animation was still popping. So no minimap highlight.

They have NS (Best team in the world objectively for A FACT.) They have PRX (Second best team in the world.) The have DRX (The third best team in the world heading into 2026) They have T1, RRQ, FS (Three teams that can be turn up to very good.

Almost every team tries to abuse these things as well, but NS does all of it at the same time and leans heavily into it way more than any other team.

When a team that's playing around abusing what's broken in the game, also has people that are really good with these broken things, and they are all on fire, they win trophies. We saw this with NRG in champs with Brawk Odin, and we saw this with NS this time.

Unless Riot does something about it, which they wont. The team that wins next masters will not be the one that anti's NS's playstyle, but adopts it and improves on it.
