They are not newbies to the competitive scene, the group of players in SPG were actively competing in T2 Pacific for years

Your best shot as an amateur to get noticed is to

• Compete in Tier 2-3 competition constantly (Community, 3rd party & Premier)
• Stream your ranked gameplay if you're top 30 in your region (Add delay)
• Apply for VCT academy team
• Be friends with Tier 2 / 1 pros, build a healthy connection with the pros and maintain a good reputation with them in order to be called up for a trial

Edit : Everyone has to start somewhere as an amateur, not everyone gets into a tier 1 team immediately, it's best if you form a roster on your own and compete in every tournament you can to gain the experience you need, so when the opportunity comes you can handle it better

When I was drafting this comp the idea was to stop teams from executing with the standard Kay/o comp that everyone were running last year

Cypher received a huge buff at that time, so a meta sentinel to compliment the off meta sentinel will surely cause a lot of trouble for teams that are trying to run into sites or take small area controls for example A short. Cypher and Deadlock was a combo since they compliment each other's weaknesses in their kit
