Rhyme can play pretty much every role and ec1s is a pretty good IGL so it's not that confusing of a pick up. Also the G2 pickups would(if confirmed) be underwhelming but probably more cost efficient. hoody and Meddo are definitely cheaper players to get than like pAura and Russ or something like that but they would also have to buy them out from Giants. However, this move would leave G2 without a good IGL, which is not a good idea whatsoever. We saw what happened last time G2 tried to be successful without a good IGL and I'm sure they won't make the same roster mistake again. I still think G2's move should be to try and get Fit1nho from Giants and pAura to be their IGL. If G2 can manage to get the coach they want as well as Fit1nho and the best sentinel main in EU(Gambit isn't in EU so chill and pAura isn't going back to Turkey), then they would have a great offseason in my eyes.

Every time I would watch T1, in terms of firepower, curry and autimatic were hard carrying them pretty much every game. Sure, brax, ska and dawn are good support players, but in terms of aim talent or individual skill, ska, brax and dawn's lack of firepower was holding T1 back from being a top 10 team.

Tex has been looking great on the secondary duelist so idk why you're calling him out for needing to go "desperately". First, NRG should give the roster some time before they instantly blow it up. I'm really not a fan of JoshRT(their coach) so if they were going to make a move, I think it should come on the coaching aspect of things. And then if they change things on the coaching aspect and give the roster time, then they might want to look at replacing tex. The only reason I say that is because of Android. Android kind of reminds me of Zellsis, where he has really good aim but is kind of forced to be the sentinel main for the team(even though they both should be secondary duelists). So if NRG make a roster change, it should be to pick up a sentinel main or smoke main and drop tex. This would allow Android to move back to secondary duelist and would just be a change to a struggling roster.

They weren't lacking in aim talent???? How are you gonna say that when curry was working with brax, ska and dawn. In terms of tier 1 teams, T1 had some of the least talent outside of curry and autimatic and yet they still managed to be a good team right outside of the top 10 in NA. As a brand new IGL, he almost took a team with an academy player, and 2 of the weakest tier 1 players in NA to Challengers Finals. And before that, Dazed was still IGL so losing for the rest of the year wasn't because of curry either. Curry and autimatic were the only reason T1 had as much success as they had and, just by watching the games, it's clear that curry is a good IGL and gets the job done.

Before Challengers 3 Playoffs for both regions and Berlin, I would've said starxo was #1 and soulcas was 2 but after it would probably be:

  1. Ethan
  2. stax
  3. starxo
Since soulcas hasn't been playing skye and starxo hasn't been as good in the past few months, they both aren't top 2 anymore and after seeing Berlin and with Ethan really starting to heat up, I think Ethan and stax are now the solidified top 2 and starxo is behind them at 3.

Sure, steel is a better IGL but curry get's the job done just fine so it's confusing why T1 wouldn't go after someone like Dre to play smokes. Idk where you're hearing that TSM has a full roster since they're only trialing TiGG and corey(which doesn't really mean too much). Also FaZe are rebuilding, yes, but there's no better way to get a rebuild under way than to add a top tier IGL to your star jett player. Just because they're rebuilding doesn't mean that they shouldn't go after the best players. FaZe is one of the biggest orgs in eSports.

posted about 2 years ago

Not a great move for T1 imo. They already have a sentinel main with Thwifo and a good IGL with curry so getting steel doesn't really make much sense. It would be a buzzkill if T1 gets him when he would be a better addition to teams like TSM and FaZe so I don't like this.

If nitr0 leaves, then I doubt this team will be able to compete with the other top 6 teams in NA but if he stays, it's extremely likely that 100T can compete with the top 3 with the right roster moves. If nitr0 stays, then the roster should either be HiKo, nitr0, Asuna, Ethan and seven(with seven playing jett and nitr0 moving back to smokes) or they should pick up some good smokes main or someone from cs. I think it would be really cool if they signed either jks or YaBoiDre since jks obviously played for 100T cs and Dre played with the 1st 100T Val team. Dre has said he wants to play either smokes or flex too so nitr0 could stay on jett if he wanted to. Dre also has some chemistry with HiKo since he played with him but he might not want to come back because everyone other than HiKo on the 1st 100T Val team got so much shit for not winning everything. Jks on the other hand, was the star of 100T's cs team and has been pretty good on Complexity as well and it would be cool to see him play for 100T once again. Oh and also MikesHD should be the obvious candidate for the new coach but I guess we'll see.

You're bringing up money when talking about one of the players with the highest earnings in CS... Plus, he's going to be getting probably over 10k a month whether he plays Val or CS so either way it's great money.

posted about 2 years ago

They need 2 players and the sovas available are much worse than the smokes available so why not keep Levi on sova and sign 1 of the great smoke mains available? I'm saying they keep Levi on sova and sign Steel(or promote payen) and either Dre and TiGG to play smokes. If I were in charge of TSM, the Dre and Steel option would be what I would go for at least on paper.

posted about 2 years ago

TiGG played great at LCQ and has been playing great for LG in general so his performance in top-tier tournaments shouldn't be a concern. Also Dre only hasn't played Astra because he was the main duelist on LG and it wasn't his role. There's a few months before 2022 VCT starts so he can definitely learn Astra in that time as well. And yes, I'm saying this while also saying that Steel is pretty much a must pick for TSM or at least someone similar to him(Payen or Stellar or anyone who plays sentinels and is a good IGL).

posted about 2 years ago

CS definitely has better casting and shit but Valorant has some good casting duos as well such as DDK and Sean Gares, Pansy and Hypoc and the OCE commentators are really fucking good but also underappreciated.

posted about 2 years ago

1st off, I also forgot about TiGG who would be another option for TSM since they've been trialing him. Secondly, YaBoiDre is extremely comfortable on smokes and Omen is, statistically, his second best agent(only behind Reyna). He also said that he's "looking to play Flex/ Main smokes". TSM could get YaBoiDre and kind of have him play similar roles to Bang with him playing smokes on most maps but then like raze on bind or Reyna on Ascent and Icebox. Dre is extremely versatile and talented but the only question is his ability to play Astra.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah and you know what else doesn't start until 2022? Next year's VCT...

posted about 2 years ago

I'm sorry but why would you take Levi off sova and put Wardell on sova? Everyone knows that taking Wardell off of Jett only hurts him and the team(except maybe like Sage on Bind or whatever maps he plays it on). Shahz only plays Sova because he has to and he's a shit sova so copying Sentinels on that when TSM already has a good sova with Levi would just be braindead. Also, Steel would be perfect for the team. He played with Wardell and Subroza on Ghost in CS and he brings the experience and IGL that TSM has desperately needed for a long time now and he fills a vacant role. For the last player, TSM would need a smoke main so I think it would be a 2 man race between Rush and Dre. Rush is an excellent teammate and was an excellent support player in CS for a long time and he would bring even more experience to the team. On the other hand, Dre has been playing Valorant since release and has probably been the most improved player in NA, or even the world. Dre is a top 20 player in NA and is a great on smokes and is excellent on duelists. If TSM sign Steel and either Rush or Dre, they will be put back on the radar and will actually be able to compete in events like LCQ.

Idk why they go for hazed when Steel is available but whatever. He's a very consistent player who has been an IGL for a while. He's not a great IGL(which is what they desperately need) but maybe he'll call better with different teammates or something. If they weren't able to get Steel and hazed was their 2nd option, then I would say it's a pretty good move but I really feel like NRG had to get Steel if they wanted to compete with the top teams in NA. Obviously NRG already has a really good core 3 players of Android, eeiu and s0m but the other 2 are why I think they won't be able to get to events like LCQ. Tex is great but I'm not a fan of him on jett and hazed isn't the player they needed imo.

So Fit1nho is the obvious player that they're going to trial but since it says Giants players idk who the other one would be. I would say Ambi cause he plays sova but idk who the IGL for Giants is and G2 would need an IGL. Good move dropping keloqz and koldamenta and going for fit1nho imo. DavidP and meddo don't make sense role wise so the other player has to be either hoody or Ambi. They both play sova but idk if one of them is the IGL or if DavidP is the IGL because I don't think meddo is the IGL and fit1nho plays jett so I doubt he's the IGL either. Either way they would be diminishing a top 5 EMEA team while getting much better themselves and removing the internal issues. So overall, it's a good move for G2.

Alright so based on the reports there's a few options but I'll present 4 based on them trialing TiGG and corey
Option 1: corey but no TiGG
Wardell(Jett/Sage)
Subroza(flex/smokes)
corey(2nd duelist/flex)
Levi(sova)
Hazed/payen/Rush/Steel(Sentinel/Smokes and IGL)
Option 2: TiGG but no corey
Wardell(Jett/Sage)
Subroza(Flex)
Levi(sova)
TiGG(smokes)
Hazed/payen/Rush/Steel(Sentinel and IGL)
Option 3: TiGG and corey but no Levi
Wardell(Jett/Sage)
Subroza(sova/flex)
corey(2nd duelist/flex)
TiGG(smokes/sova)
Hazed/payen/Rush/Steel(Sentinel/smokes and IGL)
Option 4: TiGG and corey with Levi
Wardell(Jett/Sage)
Subroza(flex)
corey(2nd duelist)
Levi(sova)
TiGG(smokes)

Well shit. Probably the biggest weakness of FaZe was really the tactical side of things and the IGLing so it caught me off guard that any FaZe player, especially anyone other than BabyJ would ever become a coach. Obviously you don't need to be an IGL to come up with strats and game plans but it's still surprising to me. What is even more surprising to me is that there's coaches available who, either, have a good resume and a pretty long background in coaching(in both cs and val) like mCe or who have had good success in Val(like Mikes) and they went with the inexperienced coach who wasn't even an IGL either. To me, this is a questionable move but adding a coach shouldn't really hurt them because I refuse to believe ShahZaM would allow anyone to come in and do anything strategically that would hinder the team and they've been lacking on the coaching aspect since release. Nonetheless, this is an interesting move and I'm curious to see how Sen will change because of it.

Valorant has been out a year and a half. Why tf haven't you all accepted the fact that you can enjoy both games and that 1 games success doesn't make the other 1 fail. If anything Valorant's success helps cs grow by introducing new fans to tac FPS games and obviously cs has helped Valorant grow as well. If you can enjoy different battle royale games or different moba games, why can't you enjoy different tac FPS games? If you like cs and want to talk about it's viewership, cool. Go talk about it on hltv and vice versa for Valorant. Grow up.

I mean idk where you're getting the thought that Russ is going to Guild from other than some vlr/reddit speculations(which is a horrible source). Also the only way this doesn't work really is if the issues are between nukkye and mixwell or if nukkye and pAura had issues on Heretics.

EMEA - Liquid
NA - Rise: Fun underdog story and a team that has a lot of skill but no real star(Sure Derrek is probably their best player and recently supamen has consistently been playing great but there's definitely no carry). They also have insane fucking trades and, like I somewhat alluded to earlier, insanely underrated players. No one has really given a shit about supamen and POISED since Dignitas and POISED was dropped pretty early from Dig. No one has really talked about neptune since IMT and Derrek never gets the recognition he deserves unless it's from Plat Chat or from someone who watches them.

posted about 2 years ago

I really just think they should drop koldamenta and keloqz(or try to loan keloqz) and sign pAura and Russ. pAura already has some chemistry with AvovA and nukkye, can IGL and is one of the best sentinel mains in the game and Russ is a top 20 player in EMEA who can play initiators or jett and he would have the chemistry with pAura already as well. Of course this is assuming the internal issues in Heretics didn't stem from these 3 players and that the internal issues in G2 aren't between Mixwell, AvovA and nukkye. If not, then this roster would be stacked and G2 would once again be able to compete with the top 3(since everyone else in EMEA is pretty far behind the top 3).

For NA you left off: corey, ZachaREEE, rawkus, YaBoiDre(restricted FA), c4Lypso, Temperature, scourge
and if you mean EMEA then: Russ, pAura, Turko, MONSTEERR

oBo and stan should switch over imo. The market for IGLs in NA(and in the world) for Valorant is slim so Stanislaw could definitely find his way on to a good team and oBo is young and has good aim so it wouldn't be surprising to see him get signed to a bigger NA org.

Thanks for the updates! I'm excited to see how the DMG team turns out. They already have a good core 3 with t3xture, iNTRO and Jeong Hi and now they are probably going to sign the #1 Korean Sova player. DMG is looking scary, especially after how well they did at APAC LCQ. Also maybe they could finish their roster with Suggest and they would probably be able to compete against VS. It's also exciting to see another former MVP.PK player come to Valorant as well as the T1 PUBG guys(I don't watch PUBG but there's more people in Valorant). I hope more orgs enter Korea since, right now, it really seems like it's just VS, Nuturn, DMG and TNL that are somewhat good and I also hope the Asian cs guys switch over since they aren't really doing much in cs(The best Asian cs team could only beat Sharks at Stockholm). Anyways this is all pretty exciting stuff for the future of APAC Valorant.

He played Breach once but ok. Also he is super inconsistent. He'll top frag 1 game, bottom frag the next and will be in the middle after that. G2 needs to make changes at this point and keloqz and Koldamenta should be the 2 that are dropped. nukkye and AvovA are both probably top 10 players in EMEA(AvovA might just miss the top 10 but nukkye is for sure top 10) so dropping either of them would be a mistake. Mixwell brings in the most outside of the server and is super versatile so dropping him wouldn't make sense. That leaves us with keloqz and koldamenta as the only 2 players that it makes sense to drop(not considering whoever the internal issues are between).

I'm not giving excuses for why 100T isn't in Champions, all I'm saying is that beating Acend and Gambit isn't a fluke just because the new roster has gotten worse results. That would be like saying a pro sports team winning a championship was a fluke because they lost a key player or a few key players and didn't do well the next year.

posted about 2 years ago

It being there choice to change the roster has nothing to do with their Ws in Berlin tho. All I'm trying to say is that it wasn't a fluke for their roster at the time.

posted about 2 years ago

What does LCQ have to do with Berlin? 100T had a different roster, IGL, and they switched up some roles. It's not the same team so idk what you're talking about. Obviously it's still 100T but that 100T team's win over Acend wasn't a fluke just because this new 100T team lost after some players can't stay healthy.

posted about 2 years ago

100T fluke? How's it a fluke to make 2 comebacks vs the top 2 EMEA teams? If they only made a comeback against Acend, then sure, you could call it a fluke but to also do it against the #1 team in the world. At that point, it isn't just a fluke. Stop being salty over something that happened months ago and making excuses for it and accept that you lost.

posted about 2 years ago

Dude they beat G2 and Guild and now we're calling them the favorites for Champs? Just because we haven't seen Gambit, Acend, VS, Envy, Sen etc since Berlin, doesn't mean they haven't improved. Liquid is definitely a contender but to call them favorites just because they beat a Guild team in basically a 4v5 and a G2 team that has internal issues and overperformed at Berlin is ridiculous.

posted about 2 years ago

Everything except the bottom 3 is pretty spot on but nAts>dapr on cypher, there's a shit ton of outstanding players that play sage so unless d4v41(I've only heard of him) is just that much better with sage util than the top guys who play her, it's questionable and lastly killjoy should be Zellsis or pAura imo.

posted about 2 years ago

Xeppaa was brand new, was playing the wrong roles(for him) and Vanity brings comfort since they've played together for so long. Confort doesn't = being a good IGL but he's a great IGL tho. My point was that it's not fair to say that he's "working with scraps" especially cause he's only really worked with very experienced tac FPS players(mitch has been playing Val longer than him and played cs, Xeta has been playing Val for longer, Leaf and Xeppaa were both great in CS and played for years, Zellsis played CS for a while, effys has been playing Val longer than pretty much everyone in NA and penny was good in CS). Other than wippie(Idk much about him outside of playing for V1), he's only really played alongside extremely experienced players. With that being said, it's clear that C9B is much better with him as their IGL and that V1 is much worse without him as their IGL and that he's a top 5 IGL in NA.

posted about 2 years ago

How's all of their english? Ik pAura speaks English since he played for Heretics but what about Russ and Turko?

posted about 2 years ago

pAura and Russ are on their level tf you talking about? And even if they weren't, they are the 2 best available players right now in EMEA. Mixwell isn't on the same level as the other 4 but he is very versatile and he brings so much more outside of the server than the rest so dropping him wouldn't make sense. I don't see any other better options than going for pAura and Russ and dropping Koldamenta and Keloqz.

posted about 2 years ago

True but Brave is still on SMB. pAura, Russ and Turko are the 3 that are leaving. Brave is the 3rd best player on SMB imo. He's super consistent and he's honestly one of the best smoke mains in EMEA.

posted about 2 years ago

For an org as big as G2, you can't afford to wait too long for these guys to develop when you're losing. Sure it's basically the offseason so now would be the time to have a player develop but if they wait for keloqz to develop, they will miss out on the top FAs

posted about 2 years ago

If I was in charge, I would drop whoever nukkye wants to drop as well as keloqz and koldamenta. I'm assuming he doesn't have issues with AvovA since they've played together for so long and if he's chill with Mixwell, then rebuild around those 3. Personally, I would pick up pAura and Russ from SMB and move Mixwell to Jett/Skye/Breach. So if I were in charge G2 would be: nukkye(Raze/Reyna/Phoenix/Sage), Russ(Sova/Skye/Jett), Mixwell(Jett/Skye/Sova/Breach), AvovA(Smokes/Sage) and pAura(Sentinels/Viper/Sova). Obviously the big question marks with this team would be who the IGL would be and if Russ could comm good in English. Obviously pAura was the IGL for SMB but he's not a top tier IGL so maybe AvovA could give it a shot or they could just keep pAura as IGL. But then again there's a reason why I'm on here and not running G2.
