G2 flanking and pushing 8 rounds in a row and losing
they have a better chance to win a round if they stay in their spawn

faze and other NA teams should consider moving to brazil
they're so bad that they'd probably qualify there

100T playing a troll comp so they have excuses when they lose

the fact that riot still doesn't have more than a single feed for the broadcast of these games is baffling
we just missed a 4k from shadow on the pistol round because the observer wasnt on him

indie company btw

what game were you watching? brazilians on full copium mode, that's the joke

lots of reasons really: the competition has increased (and will continue to do so), the fact they won in their regions put them in the spotlight which made other teams study them more and finally the fact that some of them simply didn't keep up with the meta. astra and viper are such strong agents right now that if you don't use them you already put yourself at a disadvantage

what's your point?
if you're stuck in a meta from months ago and can't adapt you don't deserve to go to iceland

hopefully riot gives another spot each to EU and CIS on the next tournaments

T1 threw so many rounds on icebox it's insane
they look great in tactics and executes but they can't for the love of god set good post-plant positions, crossfires and plan retakes

if only bramz showed up today

FPX finally living up to the dominance we long have been expecting them to show, i hope this win gives them a confidence boost to find more consistency as they're easily the best team to watch across every region when it comes to structure.

interesting team composition on split as well, i wonder if they'll keep it or if they were just so confident in the matchup that they didn't have to go for their ordinary breach + astra/omen

dicey is the jett with the lowest impact i've ever seen

That's some winners' mentality right there.

the results speak for themselves which is why they're considered the best
i do agree with you though, they really lack coordination and pretty much rely on winning aim duels
the reason they thrived so much so far is because the valorant competitive scene is still new and there aren't many well organized teams yet
with FPX being a more tactical team, i believe they will take over G2's reign very soon

no winner's bracket advantage? what the hell
the possibility of the same map being played on a BO5 is just stupid

I dislike BO1s as well but if we take the Pop Flash tournament for NA for reference, it has BO3s only but it's also a 6-day event which is something most tournament organizers can't handle because of time/money constraints. The recent FaZe Clan Invitational had teams possibly playing 3 BO3s in a single day which is quite exhausting and some players rightfully voiced against that.

Imo, the best middle ground is having the opening matches and winners' matches as BO1s (they could all be played out in the same day) and the elimination/losers' matches (or lower bracket) as BO3 so that no team gets knocked out after losing only BO1s. Then, ideally, double-elimination bracket for the playoffs (as opposed to single-elim) since seeding can be highly inaccurate given how recent Valorant is. For 16-team tournaments, Swiss format group stage is pretty good too.

really interested to see if G2's reign will finally get threatened
FPX looked as dominant as ever so far in this tournament and they made some needed adjustments like zyppaan playing other agents than just raze who is pretty bad on haven and ascent
