but yeah it'd be super funny

posted 3 months ago

terribly sorry to do this given we're no better off, but... flair

nah it's all t0rmi

You defend more like the Iso/Yoru comps. Yeah, all the individual util pieces are slightly weaker alone but in the bigger picture the biggest loss is no Breach wall flashes so your Pheonix has to be in Iso spots instead of Breach ones (better for fragging) and no Omen off-angle tps, but you can experiment covering that with the unique stuff Astra dissipate brings instead. You've also got Astra and Phx util to imitate some of the Viper stuff in shorter bursts which is enough to break up hits or at least stall for rotates where you can hard flood retake like you want to on Haven already.

posted 3 months ago

on Icebox i agree but other maps without the verticality nah

id like to see it experimented with though

G2 isn't a choker team they lost one GF because T1's gameplay was very anti-their playstyle and threw them off form, Leaf in particular got spooked after map 4's comp that was designed specifically to just outright stop his Chamber from playing the game.

posted 3 months ago

runners up suddenly matter when it's you and not us huh

posted 3 months ago

Pheonix criminally underrated, in particular on Haven. Pearl he's being considered seriously but teams have been kinda trolling on him and Tejo existed so...

For Haven theory, with an Astra/Neon/Pheonix you've got all the same attack side strengths as BOTH the Breach/Neon and Viper comps with a good fast ult to cycle that works excellently for the many defensive retakes like the Iso/Yoru comp intends to do, and makes up for Neon's costing more.

get on the train brother we need more bodies for the furnace

posted 3 months ago

Also KC champs run? Surely Harbor buffs come + They have maps that look excellent already and unsolved ones that they can change and they've been adding more and more maps to their pool over time. By Stage 2 they should actually have a strong map pool.

posted 3 months ago

I've been saying it PRX vs TH throw off in GF. Cinema.

posted 3 months ago

I was never really in the FNC flair tbf. last flair was KC but they trolled so hard vs bbl I decided to take a break lmao

Now PRX is most likely chance to see unconventional stuff succeed with Pheonix Pearl so

Edit: brother how tf did i forget TL's cool Deadlock shit oh well they're next in line

posted 3 months ago

+patmen apparently lol

posted 3 months ago

yeah

posted 3 months ago

we get paid to argue wdym aren't you getting your paycheck?

how's he supposed to be real and honest with riot pointing a gun at his head man

posted 3 months ago

can't get along with coaches and can't play the game so just become the coach yourself 5head

finally can stop holding s0m back.

posted 3 months ago

it's the day furthest from the games just after a drama has fizzled out a bit in a timezone when basically only EMEA is awake yet wdyw

classist sen fan :'(

posted 3 months ago

literal trolling and huge middle finger to 2G and presumably M8s and Apeks once we get to it, actually no reason should've just kept old groups and ran VS other group instead of changing groups to do in group again instead.

massive L format changes this year ngl, if they're gonna promote EWC (they shouldn't) then why tf no space in the calendar either. Pointless nonsense that means we don't see every regional matchup and players still burnout cuz orgs need Saudi money anyway.

and why announce groups now to give Toronto teams a prep disadvantage, or are we hoping that'll make it more competitive?

posted 3 months ago

PRX PLEASE DO NOT PICK FRACTURE

posted 3 months ago

chronovoid?

posted 3 months ago

ofc that's literally their point

quality of players across the team matters, not just "they have a good duelist and set them up" especially in Tejo meta where init performance has been more important than duelist and Apeks had g0ven0r

posted 3 months ago

oh no

please dont jinx it

posted 3 months ago

absolutely possible we've had it win champs and masters events before. Only SEN seems to think it's not practical but they've looked worse with more issues with JohnQT on initiator than on Sentinel, and nAts owned them at Bangkok, so...

The actual answer is realistically "whatever they're most comfortable on" imo

posted 3 months ago

it's the perceived home field advantage, regardless of the intricatcies of if and how it actually exists. The same would happen with NA and I imagine Germany if we actually had German teams.

posted 3 months ago

Initiator and Controller definitely but Sentinel is still very doable with good information. It's mainly about the reduced fragging pressure.

posted 3 months ago

I guarantee you frost does not have takes this shit about Pheonix being underrated.

also pointing out termi isn't even taking a risk on this and instead taking the free ego W makes me a frost alt ig lmfao

posted 3 months ago

if they think yoru is still meta sure

personally I think yoru will go back to being a double duelist/solo pearl option. Idk if G2 will play double duelist.

posted 3 months ago

he's not about to throw his job away just because termi offered to throw his own. termi knew full well there'd be no response regardless of whether frost had evidence or not, otherwise itd already be out, that's why he was willing to say that to begin with. he's just taking a piss on frosts ego knowing he can't do shite even if he has something.

posted 3 months ago

not the 5/6th merchants...

posted 3 months ago

no but it's kind of spectacular it keeps happening

are other teams saving strats during groups or smth cuz it happened in pacific too?

also sucks that the year they fuck up the stage 2 groups by reassigning them based on groups but not playoffs is when the groups and playoffs have so drastically different results.

posted 3 months ago

yeah ofc dude the voices are reliable you should listen to them

posted 3 months ago

yeah but now Tejo is dead everywhere except maybe Icebox Gekko should get some more chances to shine. his util is bad cuz short cooldowns, but he's still very good if you can reclaim it reliably.

posted 3 months ago

wibz above theory would posit that's because DRX are clean and rb knows deets.

but otherwise cuz it just is vague. Like he could be supporting, just hinting he knows more or even both.

posted 3 months ago

cryostasis

posted 3 months ago

you're cookin

posted 3 months ago

skrim leaking isn't magic bro you can still get guy diffed and your players can still screw shit up

furia is not gonna beat TH just by knowing their strats in advance they need to be able to capitalise

posted 3 months ago

27 is where it's at bro trust

posted 3 months ago

Termi has more important things to be scared about

posted 3 months ago

skye dog signature 40s recharge, birds to 200 cost fixed ez.

Gekko and Raze are fine power level still they just didn't slot into Tejo comps. Raze is honestly probably still the most powerful duelist.

posted 3 months ago

they can shit on the America's teams and still not win. They just need to lose to someone not from amer. Easy enough.

posted 3 months ago

gone into the ether already damn

posted 3 months ago

beginning of the downfall xdd

posted 3 months ago

I care ❤️

posted 3 months ago

they changed the schedule to bring both sunset and the changes forward (they were originally post-toronto) i guess they were worried about viewership if people were right about the supposed drop off being Tejo related.

posted 3 months ago

TH then. G2 has been running Tejo everywhere all season and he's getting nerfed for Toronto according to at least the MIBR players.

TH only has to change Lotus, since nerfed Tejo will likely still be good on Icebox.

FNC, PRX and potentially KC are in similar spots with Fracture leaving too - if they make it.

posted 3 months ago

all of these make champs ez dw about it

unless termi explodes but

posted 3 months ago

Patmen and Riens util is part of why their teams are seeing so much success.

It's especially apparent for Patmen because his new team had been struggling even in their successes for years because they were just putting duelist players in intiator jail rather than having a good util guy to set them up.
