2 y'all are getting 1 team back through ascension, you will still have 7 teams. In fact, I believe that if riot doesn't need to invest as much into each CBLOL team (because viewership is growing, and the teams are profitable) then there should be more partnered teams introduced.
Until that happens, the CBLOL will continue to play in Brazil against other brazilian and Koreans, and we can all continue watching our own league.
The CBLOL isnt even going to play against the LCS, how is this the LCS’s fault? If your upset about the wrong person, what other opinion that you are upset about, is wrong?
The reason the league is shrinking the number of teams is so that there can be a partnership, and riot can pay teams.
The LPL has 17 teams, and will have to shrink that number down aswell.
The LJL has 6 teams and will lose most,
The PCS has 7 teams and will lose most,
Hell, the LLA has 6 teams and two will be split into 2 different regions.
Is no other region gonna be pissed that their losing their teams?
The cblol isb't dead, they're gonna have a name change, and their gonna lose 4/10 teams (but gain 1 ascension team similar to val).
They will still play in Sao paulo and there will still be a large tier 2 scene for brazil who can actual compete against top teams (unlike val).
I'm kind of dissapointed with this articles blatant and unnessecary fear mongering. There are MANY different ways to critique this shift, and tons of valid reasons to be upset, but the only thing that this article does is antagonize riot, the LCS, and anyone that isn't a Brazilian CBLOL fan.

The only teams TH beat were all three CN teams (KekW), third time's the charm against G2 (KekW), a floundering 100T (who lost their stride (b11sti1)), and FUT (KekW)

After they got grouped in Madrid, I thought they would crumble.

As the resident M0/8 hater, I think that most challengers teams play to their opponents level.
The fact that DB vs MxS can go 4/13 - 13/2 - 10/13 i believe shows that no matter the map, any team can just not show up.
Also Blinn isn't a bad team, sure they joined in the mid-season promotion, but they held TSM to two super close maps, and blew them on one map, and TSM is like #5 in the VCL.
This was just a warmup game with NeT, give this team enough time for BcJ to fit into the system, and they can beat any team in VCL.

I think this sums it up pretty well, a super young fanbase who don't know how to properly give and take banter, and a TO that doesn't know what they want to police. The VCT twitter account poster a picture of Bootio and his pig, but then the TOs ended up taking the pig away? And there are 0 rivalries, mostly because the tourneys dont have teams from their country. In champs there were so many PRX fans in the crowd, so all the USA chants were equaled out by PRX chants. As for Lock//in the brazillian crowd was going crazy for Loud winning, and probably would have flamed Fnatic, if things ended differently.
