When you're talking about serious allegations (i.e. ones with serious LEGAL implications, if true) you'd be a moron to blindly just start posting messages/screenshots on Twitter instead of seeking appropriate legal counsel. Of course it looks bad to the public to just "lawyer up", but in terms of salvaging a career, I think that's really flor's only option.
