Playing ranked with other players doesn't mean anything. Xdll isn't going to DFM even tho he is one of the best friends of Meiy. Also DFM always plays dm before they scrim at 6am utc just look at the 5er queues they do before they scrim. They don't really hide with who they trial.

I don't think this is their real roster, first of all they would be missing an igl and secondly the roles don't make sense. You would have two smokers in GON and sugar, two duelist in Syouta and Dep even tho both could flex a bit, then you have TENNN who was terrible for the whole time he was on Fennel, imo the reason why they struggled in Split2 in the first place.

0.69 rating when you don't count play-ins. It is a legendary performance never seen before in the history of Valorant. The question is, is Benny the worst player to ever play in an Ascension tournanment ever? He should have been dropped two years ago by CGN, their managment is as delusional as their fans are.

posted 10 months ago

obviously not, pure nepotism player. His igling is okay but he has zero firepower, a non existent agent pool and genuinely some of the worst game sense I have seen in tier2 Valorant. I genuinely just dislike CGN for keeping him for the last two years, he is a bad player and this shows that some German orgs just aren't even trying to get good or new German players at all. Alorante, Musashi or just someone who is able to shoot back would be immense upgrades already.

posted 10 months ago

It could be just the announcement day for the roster but it would be very funny

posted 10 months ago

The jokes just write themselves. I mean he is a really good player but it was literally the thing that got him kicked out of NTH and several vcl matches suspended.

posted 10 months ago

Did they literally just sign a player who was racists towards Indians? OMEGALUL

posted 10 months ago

I don't it matters this much when he is not great of a player. Jinboong definitely isn't fluent tho but they did speak only Japanese in Sengoku

posted 10 months ago

Hals took a break for a bit and just came back, not sure if he was even trialing at all so far.

posted 10 months ago

actually they are allowed next year, that's why so many orgs are getting one rn. Maybe they are just rebuilding a proper roster and coaching staff for it.

posted 10 months ago

also trialing Jinboong means that Medusa is very likely to get benched since both play Sentinels and Jinboong is the objective way better player.

posted 10 months ago

they are doing a academy right? It feels super weird to get academy team but not have a main team then

posted 10 months ago

Fennel and Sengoku probably are the ones making roster moves tho rn since some of their players are probably leaving for DFM and ZETA

posted 10 months ago

Does NS pay that well? Would be surprised if they didn't get outbid by the Japanese orgs

posted 10 months ago

It's just a guess it could also be any JP team in tier2 that wants to replace their players. But honestly also because T1 is confusing the shit out of me. Tenten was said to have failed his trial, they got Sylvan who was in tier2 China for a bit. DH is not a bad player that can flex a bit, imo he is too inexperienced for tier1 yet but he could be worth a try.

Wonder where he is going? Really good mechanically talented player that also played with Hyunmin on Crest Gaming. Maybe to T1?

posted 10 months ago

that's really sad to hear then, felt like he was the only super outstanding player out of JP that could match Primmie talent wise. Ig we need to see how the next year works out for Japanese players, kinda need more talent on the lvl of Syouta.

posted 10 months ago

Kapi and Chay were a bit unlucky on their previous teams sometimes you just need to find the right one, but tbh since a while ago a lot of the players dramatically improved. Marin/Malinho especially suprised me with how crazy good his stats were in qualifiers and all year in Premier he was easily the best player on NFX this year despite all the roster changes they made, he seems way more comfortable now flexing, his apr is kinda insane ngl.

Ken probably just needs time on Crest he was a super late addition to the team.

I know that Okinawa could be a risky pr move but also the community itself seems devided on him, but if he is legit which tbf Riot said it means that he is probably the biggest Japanese talent Valorant has seen in a long time, the dude is casually dominating Meiy everytime he faces him in ranked while he sings and screams on streams, he seems like a funny guy.

Zeta definitely wants more teams to have eyes on their talent since their previous trainees have been incredible like Aace and Yatsuka. But tbh they might not even need to release them since Academy teams are allowed next year to participate in Challengers, DFM also has tried creating one but I haven't seen a full player announcement yet.

posted 10 months ago

Took the wrong example with the Japanese player I meant Kapi oof, altho ngl I don't get why nobody is trialing Okinawa probably a legit tier1 lvl talent he is just Japanese Primmie at this point. Ken and Banger are decent talents my bigger concern is them having synergy issues like HYUNMIN and the rest of the squad had, honestly Ken is surprising me with how dominant he is in ranked rn.

There are is good regional talent out there, like Chay, Marin, MeatpieN with outstanding ones like obviously Popagachi, Satoshi and Honeybunny in Zeta AC.

posted 10 months ago

Honestly there is an insane amount of young Korean talents that could be signed. I don't really think it's a big problem as long they don't go full international like Scarz is doing. My biggest problem is them just not really doing scouting properly and getting very mediocre Japanese players in Take or BinBin. Flora was a fa player for the longest time and he is individually insanely cracked. Japanese teams don't understand that there is actually good amount of Japanese regional talent just waiting to get signed. Also on a sidenote do you know where DH is going? He isn't playing in Crest anymore and he is also a top tier Korean talent.

posted 10 months ago

The current premier team of Reject is BinBin, Brian, Muto, Take and Jaxe a young Korean talent that has played with SPG for a bit. The most confusing part is where Hals is going, he was imo the 2nd best player in Reject after Akame in Split1 , maybe he has a chance to get signed by DFM or Zeta.

posted 10 months ago

Take has signed with Reject, Brian is also playing in the roster again, maybe he has failed his trial on DFM?

posted 10 months ago

I have never seen someone so consistently waste a Phoenix ult in my life, like he legit doesn't clear corners, check trips or is good at gaining space for his teammates. It's not even about getting entries but he is so bad at clearing space at all.

posted 10 months ago

They are really great, every single of them has shown their worth and could be picked up by tier1 teams. It's really sad that they are kinda wasted by playing with Benny. I don't even think the coaching is bad, in theory the Phoenix has real cool setups and they have some very cool prepped exects with their util combos but Benny legit cannot get a single entry or any value with his Phoenix ult.

posted 10 months ago

Can your fanbase legit defend Benny's individual performances like this? Like he is consistently the worst fragger, bad fundamentals, has the least agent flexibility, has the worst util usage and has questionable igling from time to time. How can people ignore the blatant nepotism that kept this guy around in this org for the last 3 years? It's genuinely baffling seeing a player like Benny even making this far when he has the lowest stats of any player in this whole tournament.

posted 10 months ago

Worst Phoenix in tier2 emea?

posted 10 months ago

A Phoenix igling and flanking on defense, you can't make this up and the dude can't even aim. What a clown of a player.

posted 10 months ago

it was before JoxJo joined tbf and in the Academy team of Zeta.
In premier they tried tons of different comps and roles.

posted 11 months ago

tbf Aace and Yatsuka are also ex-duelists players who can play the role on a very high lvl

posted 11 months ago

Imagine Scarz just used Satoshi and dvnc9 instead of always ignoring regional talents.

posted 11 months ago

How long is this series gonna take lmao? Also Satoshi seems fucking insane, dude is the next Meiy maybe.

posted 11 months ago

On one hand I'm happy that Crest finally made a Split in Challengers but on the other hand, Hyunmin and DH are not more on the org. I wonder if they got signed already since they were unbelievable talents on their own.

posted 11 months ago

It just seems like a late minute decision signing of FA players because the org wanted to stay for Split3.

posted 11 months ago

And Scarz actually have really good academy players. In general I'm also super disappointed in orgs like Igzists for not trying more of their academy players because they are not that bad and probably would play better than Yamada and RIPablo. Overall the Japanese orgs actually have pretty academy teams that scout very well, Zeta's one is very exceptional, Fav also has a real decent academy system.

posted 11 months ago

It's a different roster compared the ones they used in premier, I'm kinda concerned about using thiefy as a duelist since he isn't a consistent fragger and entry on the role.

posted 11 months ago

NFX is one of the teams that had been very competitive in Premier, it really isn't surprising if you followed a bit of the premier teams that have been competing in the last 3 acts. Also Scarz had seemingly built this team last minute and probably has not enough practice, it doesn't help if the signed players are rather questionable choices. It's a bit disappointing that they didn't keep the previous roster because they only lacked time and experience last split that prevented them from making playoffs.

posted 11 months ago

NGL, I truly do not understand why Scarz just isn't trying to use their academy players or just sign other Japanese players to their roster. Like Satoshi one of their Academy players is playing for BB rn and is averaging over 300acs, farming the other teams in this qualifier. It seems super weird to sign late minute someone like adrnking who struggled to keep up in weaker regions like South Asia before. I kinda hope that this isn't a roster that stays for long, because I can't imagine them being competitive in this split3 at all.

posted 11 months ago

Should GenG get a 5th player who can shoot for Lakia?

posted 11 months ago

Whatever happens this match, I hope the Fennel players are getting signed. Especially Syouta, Xdll and CLZ who are all better players than the DFM ones aside from Meiy.

posted 11 months ago

What a comeback by Riddle, after that disastrous misspick on map one and the very one sided map two, you probably could have said this match is done. But those young players showed immense fortitude to make this reverse sweep even possible. Eight more rounds and Riddle would be the first ever Japanese team to actually win coming from the upper bracket.

posted 11 months ago

Really poorly handled by the TO. All it takes to prevent this is to communicate with the teams. It is already hard coming from the upper bracket without any stage experience, but this seals the deal. Can't imagine their current mental after giving away a map.

posted 11 months ago

3-1 from Fennel, pretty decent match. I hope they have a good match tomorrow, the Riddle players are super young and don't have much stage experience, very likely that Fennel could win off that alone.

posted 11 months ago

The coach has some explaining to do (edit: if they lose this Lotus map), they literally lost every map where they don't play meta comps and swap Syouta out of Duelist. Like this is genuinely (could be) bad coaching if you swap the roles of your by far best player for a lan playoffs in the last available moment.

In a bit of hindsight I understand that their win rate just wasn't high on Lotus, so they try just different comps to put off Sengoku. I am confused by the choice of swapping roles must feel super weird for your players even if they are capable of flexing.

posted 11 months ago

It affects it to some degree, but also imo I think TENNN's weaknesses always were his decision making and util usage instead of his mechanics. The dude could always aim well, he just looks lost and out of place from time to time

posted 11 months ago

Tbh I don't really think it matters if he he doesn't play well. Syouta and the others will carry him to the finals and Sengoku is just the worse team anyways. Fennel vs Riddle will be more competitive.

posted 11 months ago

It is to be expected, he is by far their worst player and makes too many mistakes in important matches. I just will never understood why he is so highly rated by the Japanese orgs, there is way better talent out there in their region that they could have chosen to replace Derialy.

posted 11 months ago

Historical revision just because of a bad performance in LCQ. He averaged like 1.13 rating and a 256acs Split in tier2 and never looked insanely bad before in tier1 also Russ was coming off from of the worst performances ever in an international. The problem was more of them wanting to have Twisten instead and Riot not allowing it last minute and them having zero practice together because of it.

posted about a year ago

Yeah it looks very disjointed, it reminds me a lot from when Guild tried to replace Russ with a on paper way better player and looked so much worse off afterwards.

posted about a year ago

What I don't get is that Fennel started playing some weird ass comps after TENNN joined, the players partly look uncomfortable and don't seem to understand their own gameplans.

posted about a year ago

At this point get Derialy back and play the old comps, they look so much worse than what used to be. Also very well played by Murash their coaching staff is cooking some nice stuff
