Yeah it uses vlr rating, which is based on subjective criteria which measure specific, arbitrarily chosen things that supposedly reflect how good a player is. It's not a bad metric by any means, but it's also extremely subjective, and in the end, nobody gives a shit. It's interesting to look at, that's all.
Nobody gives a shit about Modric's pass completion rate in the 2018 world cup final. France scored more goals, they won the game, that's what matters. Griezmann is a world champion, Modric isn't.

I mean I get the point you're trying to make, but surely you acknowledge that while Lev's decision to sign C0m over nzr may be justified, it still really sucks for nzr. He's a great player, had a pretty solid year in 2023, actually looked like the second best player behind aspas on the new roster in the few games they played, and was now dropped way after orgs like mibr and Fúria finalised their rosters, making it impossible for him to still find a team. Kinda like what happened to yay and vanity last year (a bit of a different situation, but he's now in a similar position). It's a shitty situation, and wishing downfall on Loud because Brazilians aren't happy with how he was treated is pretty absurd tbh.

If you wanna learn, there's nobody better than Zander. Boaster is also great for learning but he doesn't stream as regularly and also flexes a lot in ranked, but you can definitely check out his vods for specific agents.
Any pro is always gonna be better to watch than any content creator if your goal is to improve your gameplay.

I mean, this is hard to judge from the outside, but from the comms videos it seems like Derke has a lot more impact in the team besides performance. This was especially noticeable in the Icebox vs Loud at LOCK//IN when Boaster seemed completely defeated and Derke was the one hyping the team up. Team synergy is important, and someone who can be an effective emotional leader/hype man can be incredibly important to a team's success. Just look at how much better SEN look with Zellsis on the team compared to pAncada. Sayf I could see performing a similar role to Derke, but aspas seems more like a calm, laid back personality, and I just don't think he would fit into the current FNC roster. And Sayf doesn't really want to play duelist either, so he wouldn't even really be an option in theory. Also while aspas and Sayf might be better than Derke overall, he is at least as good as them, if not better, as a pure entryfragger.
And as for the IGL point, I think there is an argument to be made that saadhak might be better than Boaster, but Boaster practically coaches the team as well. mini has said this many times, Boaster is the main drive behind most of FNC's strats, mini's job was basically just to tell him off when he overcooked. Obviously this is a bit of an exaggeration, but the team is literally built around Boaster, and you can't really just replace him and expect any world class IGL to just slot in perfectly.
Not saying Boaster and Derke are untouchable and should never be questioned, but FNC without either of them wouldn't be FNC, and if you cut either of them, you'd probably have to rethink the whole team structure.

Idk why people keep saying Fnatic spent billions to buy a whole ass roster. They bought two high-calibre players. I can guarantee you TL, Sen, NRG, C9 (when they bought yay), probably even KOI paid way more for their rosters when franchising was announced.
If any org broke the bank to buy players for each role, it was SEN, they just failed horribly at making them into a good team.

Only advantage Destrian has over trexx is experience on smokes. Trexx joining could make it hard for them to pull off Viper comps, which could be dangerous in the current meta. But I think Sayf and trexx are flexible enough that they could make it work.

EG in 2022 didn't have the 10 man roster. They have always had good antistrats, they only sucked because the players sucked. All of them attributed their glowup this year to the great practice with the 10 man roster. Shouldn't even be that surprising if you consider how "real" sports to training. Strategically they were still extremely solid this year though and potter was the one responsible for the practice drills, which seemed to have worked. She definitely contributed significantly to their success.
I mean they also looked extremely mid after Demon1 joined until Tokyo. It clearly wasn't just him who made them good.
