I want to see what you guys think of Envy's situation if they ascend in ascension. They have to be considered favorites from NA even if TSM win as they have shown how they can sometimes effortlessly winning. As of right now they have 2 players in Ion and Canezerra who can't play from the start, Ion just in general next year as he turns 18 in 2027. That being said who do people think come in.

For Canezerra I think your sub should be Penny, he did well with Apeks and Liquid and while yes could be risky he is a player sometimes willing to give his life to ensure the site or trade.

Next up is the controller and this would be a permanent signing and there are 2 options I think for this that work well in different ways. The first is just a player who has been proving himself and does deserve a chance at Tier 1 which is Nerve, the second is if they want the big name player and for this one it could be the duelist player as well but Demon1 on controller could be an option for them.

I don't think they had a choice with Bang, Bang is an amazing player and I think if 100T could of, he would of stayed. During the 2024 season all the players had there contracts set to expire at the end of the year except for Zikz who had his extend to 2027. If a player could choose 100T or Sentinels they have to pick Sen, chances are Sentinels are paying more money because they make more money, have a bigger fan showing then any org so as a result its more ideal there.

Now Zander as the pickup I mean if they didn't everyone would have laughed at this team at the start of the year, he was the piece of M80 that was leftover and people seemed like he was ready and he is, he is good but you are asking him mid season on little notice to take over IGLing a team that is new and chaotic.

It comes down to the meta and at the start of 2024 100T played a lot of Gekko whereas no one else really did. Sunset was the map pretty much everyone played him on but 100T put him into every map and player. Cryo played him on Sunset, Asuna on Icebox, Boostio on Bind and Split. They perma banned Lotus because fundamentally as a team they don't fit that map, or any map with double controller and a sentinel (unless Sage). Ascent and Breeze they tried to stay away from but trusted themselves in the mirror on Ascent with the standard comp and for breeze they just played a normal 1 duelist 2 initiators 1 controller 1 senti.

Meta helps big time for teams and gives them confidence, some teams have huge flexibility as seen with Zellsis for Sentinels or Leaf for G2, whereas 100T also just don't have that, Asuna doesn't fit a flex role well enough for a double controller with a sentinel whereas Zellsis could play any role expect scan initiators. Leaf is basically the exact same in terms of playing all the roles except scan initiators and this is what this game feels like its coming down too.

The Meta right now is Yoru heavily, Cryo is a great player but lags behind in his Yoru because at first it would be Asuna on it not him so overtime whereas he is still a very good Yoru, other players like Jawgemo have become amazing at him.

This team last year tried to trust Gekko for too long and it cost them, now this year they were very reluctant to put eeiu on Tejo when the whole meta was around him basically and when you finally did see eeiu on him it was so late into the meta that they were getting destroyed by teams with months of experience of it.

The team has a set of 5 players that are amazing at the game but do not fit together, in there ideal roles you have 2 duelists in Asuna and Cryo that for this meta would seem amazing however you then have 2 scan initiators in eeiu and Kess. Finally a controller and IGL in Zander who might have IGL'ed in the past but it was a longer time ago because on M80 Nismo did it when he was there.

Honestly this is why I think Corrode could be there best map, its everyones comfort because they have Cryo play Chamber who is basically a duelist and with the changes could make this team more flexible if they incorporate him, Asuna on Yoru is an agent that fits his style, Kess and eeiu get the play scan initiators with eeiu on Sova and Kess on Fade which they both showed they can play very well, then Zander on Omen is probably his most natural agent.
