Already spoke multiple times with Riot about potential changes in the system but they are committed to this concept for now which I get.

The key problems are these:

Riot is not financially supporting the tournament organizers which can result in what happened in Polaris where they just cut an entire broadcast day and put someone with no observing experience as observer for split 2. Reminder EMEA Ascension had no prize-pool so if you made second place in Ascension you did not even get some money as a consolation prize.
OFF//SEASON information only gets revealed in August, which means that Challenger players who did not make Ascension have 3 months where they have no clue what they can even compete in once Champs ends.
Most regions had no time to establish grassroots or local communities that actively watch matches and since VALORANT was born during a pandemic the game became way more internationally oriented than nationally which then blows my mind why Riot wants regional leagues.

No, I do remember back at the start of partnerships that there was interest in North American players from KRÜ, spoke to some players as well just to make sure back then. There was definitely an interest from KRÜ but it was short-lived.

It's not technically enforced, last year it was rumoured KRÜ were considering potentially going NA.

Time to add Chinese lessons on the budget for next year

I don't think replacing LEW would be the move, LEW had a fantastic performance during Ascension and has so much potential to improve. Maple is on Weibo and is almost certainly not looking to go back to OCE with the salary he's on.

With the amount of experienced players he has around him he will definitely be a top duelist in a year or two from now.

Monarch Effect is a small organization as well so pretty sure Tencent won't be protective of them as they aren't in VCT China anyway

Also seeing as SWERL has removed his tweet it might just get handled internally

posted about 3 years ago

It's being investigated by the TO and Riot, seeing as this is a first I can see Riot fining Monarch Effect to set an example but that's about it unfortunately.

had em ready since Polaris playoffs, hope you get some good offers gl mate

How's the off-season treating ya?

posted about 3 years ago

They're already out of playoff contention so I think they just don't have much motivation. They just played an entire Play-Ins tournament and now this so players must be tired.
Falcons are also playing well today.

Also worth noting there might be a chance ASE gets into the Chinese league as they have gotten new investors recently

posted about 3 years ago

There are a handful of organizations interested in ASE roster, but it may fall through much like the K ONE roster who were supposed to join TOP Esports.
You can add Ultra Prime into that hat as well
