Is Something not confirmed in Japan?

posted 10 months ago

I know it’s a high stakes game with winner going to Tokyo, but don’t you think him smashing his desk every round loss is only making it worse for his team?

posted 10 months ago

Personally i think FUT is the safer bet of the two teams, they seem more consistent

Makes sense, just didn’t expect such a big drop

posted about a year ago

Last I checked NRG was favourites around 1.7, now they’re underdogs at 2.2

Did I miss something? Or have the odds just naturally swayed the other way?

I think what he means is that unlike those teams, the 3rd place spot in EMEA is more secure/less contested for liquid But I might be wrong.

Hi Guys,
On a match page where you can see all the stats for a game, it used to be ordered by ACS by default, and you could select a header to change the order.
Recently for me at least the order is seemingly random and isn't ordered by ACS anymore.

Does anyone else have this or is it something on my end?

Thanks for all the answers guys :)

Does anyone know what language they speak? Is it just one or a mix?

Does anyone know if this event has any streams at all? Unofficial or not?

Really hope we don’t look back at franchising as the problem…

Hi Guys,
I made a post earlier asking for any eng streams (When we thought the game was at 17h BST), and we had this guy: https://www.twitch.tv/wyattriver
Hes gone now, so just a heads up, theres this guy now: https://www.twitch.tv/bren

Does anyone know if there will be any eng/fr watchparties / streams for this game?

posted about a year ago

No one else will go, they’re all playing well and sound happy with each other, just a lack of flexibility this season because of having to play with a substitute. When they sign a permanent 5th, I imagine many of their problems will fix

Honestly, if I had the choice between cookie cutter repeat wins and crazy unpredictable shit like with liquid, I’ll take Liquid every time. The lows are lows sure, but goddamn no other team makes it that tense

Sources: Liquid trial AREA to replace Sliggy as the head coach.

AREA was a former Counter-Strike player who was VAC banned in 2013, he denied the ban.

I don’t understand VRL format much so apologies if the question is dumb, but MAD Lions are playing in the VRL France despite only having one French player. Surely they would be playing in Polaris with majority UK players?
Why is it they are in the French League?

posted about a year ago

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think your point about them not having casters because they’re female is just wrong?
In the Open Qual #1 they literally got the main stream? With the analaysts and the casters and everything? Now in Open Qual #2, just like so many other teams, they just don’t happen to be on a casting stream

Truth is Sova is pretty busted when you think about what he can pull off.
I do think he needed a nerf but I would have rathered a price increase to the shcokdarts instead of lowering damage.
That way well thought out shock darts would still be as impactful, but just throwing them around for fun and hoping for lucky damage would be less valuable/ waste of money.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, it’s a good excuse no? They lost their cracked sova main and their STAR duellist. Idk what kind of pracc they’re gonna get in before the event, but it’s more worrying for NiP if they DONT best Fnatic here

Doesn’t the tourney start on the 10th?

LOUD seems like a different breed tho, I agree the pattern is the same but the level of dominance both teams showed is not equal. Im cheering for liquid but damn im scared of what LOUD might be able to do.

IMO, if they get sub-par results, its from nerves and pressure. If they stay together and grow together, they will only go up

posted about 2 years ago

This is effectively their “Promotion” tournament equivalent of EMEA I believe. These are all the teams that didn’t make the cut to stay in challengers, and the high performers from the lower leagues

posted about 2 years ago

It looked like they were just having a bit of an identity crisis, trying to change too much and be too flexible too fast, and it just lead to a lot of confusion.

Soulcas tweeted that they were gonna rebuild and restructure before masters and re-evaluate what they all do. Chances are we’re gonna see them all go back to their strengths and focus on them, building that confidence back before they start to change again

Edit: rebuild and restructure their approach, not their team

Sick post bro Ty for it, just a heads up, in your “playoffs” section, for the first game you have FPX vs Group B which I think should be G2/TL :)

posted about 2 years ago

That’s just a result of the scale of Europe and teams wanting to stay in their home countries. NA has like 100 ping from one side to the other but they all compete together because they go to Dallas etc to compete. Same with EU, just some teams decide to play with the penalty

posted about 2 years ago

The thing is though it’s not the same. When they did the virtual team rooms with the cameras, they were still at Iceland, so the ping (even tho online) was still very low. But they can’t travel to Iceland and as such would be playing on 70-80 ping minimum. It’s rly unfortunate what happened to them but I don’t see Online matched for FPX being feasible.

Different situation. Bren situation was because the Org failed to get Visas in time and didn’t inform Riot until very late. Even if they did offer the spot to Alter Ego the Visas couldn’t be secured in time, whereas Eu to Eu is very quick to sort out. Different situation, but both very unfortunate.

posted about 2 years ago

^This, It’s not a “One rule for Europe” and another for Asia type of situation, with Bren it was a Visa issue, the Bren players couldn’t get it in time, and even if Riot gave the slot to Alter Ego they wouldn’t have gotten the paperwork done in time either. Different circumstance, equally unfortunate.

Keloqs has a very bad work ethic apparently

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah but its only the map diff between the teams in the draw no?

posted about 2 years ago

You are wrong. If NaVi beat FPX then Navi, FPX, Liquid (and gambit if they dont just go 4-1) will be 3-2, and liquid has the worst H2H score out of all of them even if NaVi only wins 2-0.

Though correct me if i am wrong as well :)

Edit: By H2H score i mean H2H Map Diff

posted about 2 years ago

Ty :)

posted about 2 years ago

Hypothetical situation, but lets imagine M3C go 4-1 and top the group.
If NaVi beat FPX, AND M3C go 4-1, that means 3 teams (NaVi, FPX and Liquid) will all have 3-2 records and their H2H matchups will make a circle.
How is the tiebreaker now done? Round diff?
Because one of these teams wont make playoff in that case

Hahaha thats crazy, very similar then, what part of Belgium are you from? My mum is from Antwerp and my dad from Brussels, so they have an identity war 24/7 :)

Did you move to the UK for work/study or lifestyle?

And ofc, its literally the perfect team for you and me hahaha

As in low frame rate

posted about 2 years ago

I’m curious if anyone knows, how is tiebreaker done in EMEA? Because if Liquid, FPX and Gambit (if they play) all get 4-1 with these scorelines:

Gambit beat Liquid
FPX beat Gambit
Liquid beat FPX

Who would be above the other in the Head2Head? Or would they use round diff?
