I honestly don’t think he isn't lying because the lighting in the pacific stage is so ass. The more plausible reason for this is when you are very stressed or anxious your vision gets blurry, so Yay probably feels very pressured to do well especially after his poor performance on DSG. This could also explain his blunder on yellow in icebox.
