As Zellsis had already confirmed, it was a combination of Leviatan playing well, both fragging and decent reads, and Sentinels simply not playing “even 50% of their potential.”

Zellsis claims it’s like slight burnout from wanting to maintain being at the top and I don’t necessarily blame them. I wouldn’t say Lev completely outplayed them strategically, I just think Sentinels didn’t show up individually like they usually do.

i mean, yeah the rude interviews part i get. Also, I said polvi lacks the firepower to compete as a duelist in TIER 1. Tier 2 and Tier 1 are two COMPLETELY different levels of competition.

I don’t even want to hate polvi nor do i legitimately hate him. I just think it’s so frustrating in both the fact that he’s a fresh upcoming duelist that lacks the firepower to compete in tier 1 and that he’s put in a dysfunctional team.

I disagree with the comms issue because they all seem to be able to comfortable speak english despite the accents. I just think the team doesn’t have a system that works for him and for the team as a whole. Disappointing.

You can get mad all you want, but bro is at the bottom most, if not every, series. Dude is always towards the bottom of the scoreboard and even gets diffed in first kills like today, where Governor had 7 first bloods on icebox despite losing 13-4.

Literally look through VLR. Look where polvi is in every series. Besides maybe one or two series, he is always AT LEAST in the bottom 2. What an atrocious performance thus far. At this point, I’m rooting for him now cuz i feel so bad.

Hmm, this one is pretty interesting because it is the fourth EDG vs PRX but this time, it is without Jinggg. I don't know if Monyet coming in is enough for EDG to finally take one over PRX.

I think Team Heretics are pretty decent but I don't think they can beat Sentinels, especially with these map vetoes. They had a decent run running through a shaky FUT and a KCorp that was basically warming up. In the playoffs, they beat a NAVI that honestly played kind of shit. But I think there is a good chance that Sentinels will be really good on punishing their aggressive setups like the Neon on Sunset.

I agree with the idea that the roster is confusing. With Egoist presumably being a sentinel main, it kind of limits the changes between yay and Deryeon in regards to role swaps. BUT I don't think yay should be flexing. I like the innovative idea with the breeze comp.

Putting the comp. aside, I liked that Deryeon was essentially in that secondary smoke role and Egoist flexed to Skye. I hope we see more flexibility on different maps. I just don't think yay looked comfortable in his off-roles (Viper and Skye.)

Looking at VLR, Deryeon has also played pretty much every agent so I think Deryeon and Egoist should be the ones they role swap while keeping yay on primary duelist / chamber.

And no, I don’t think they lose to Boom either. But i’ll admit that Boom is close to XERXIA’s level, so there’s a CHANCE Boom 2-1 OpTic. :> )

Group A and D are both groups of death lol. I think Boom and ZETA(with a sub) fairly balance out Group B. Though that’s no excuse to throw THE TOP 3 FROM ICELAND IN THE SAME GROUP RITO.

that’s true, and i’m not saying LOUD ISN’T a good team. They definitely are. But my point was, we can’t just overrate or overhype EDG just because they dominated LCQ East Asia. That’s all.

yeah, a lot of people are saying they’re going to dominate Champs and maybe even win it. The thing with me is, they looked really strong, yes. But..

1. That’s their performance online. There have been many instances where players are majorly hyped up because of their ONLINE performance, but underperform on LAN. Very excited to see EDward for the first time, and I wouldn’t count them out yet, but this IS their first LAN, no matter how you look at it.
2. They dominated their own region, but that was only JP and KR teams. Who says they can do the same against EMEA or NA, when they have teams like OpTic and FPX.
3. While they went undefeated in the LCQ, there are teams who went undefeated and then got shit on in the LAN. LOUD and DRX for example. LOUD dominated Brazil, and then got 2-0’d, by KRU and OpTic. DRX is a prime example of a team that dominated their region, but then had a shaky performance on LAN.

Regardless, excited to see China perform.

Ah, I see. I think Cryo gets a lot of credit, however, BECAUSE him along with Zekken are the big win conditions for XSET. In comparison to yay, yay is a better chamber because yay’s team, or the supporting cast, do a better job of supporting him or setting him up than XSET does with Cryo. I also agree with the Scream statement.

Asuna, Derke, and Aspas maybe. But Scream and Cryo are properly rated imo. They perform somewhat consistently for their teams. but that’s just my opinion.

So why did GUILD beat OpTic even though it was GUILD’s first LAN? 🤡
