the most realistic nrg rebuild is to just pick up a challenger roster and moving forward, no point wasting money on buyouts and such.

You're overthinking it bro for sure, C9 did a change 2 weeks before moving their IGL onto a different agent. Slotting 2 different players back in and were much better off. I gave you examples on why your argument isn't consistent and more seen as cope for NRG than anything. Let's wait and see how GIANTX does without Redgar and see if your argument is valid, because it is a good argument to make but we have seen many times that it is not really the case. SEN was 100x the better as soon as they slotted in johnqt and Zellsis than before with the previous igling system with Marved and Dephh.

edit: also if you think it is based on rust, look at moose and runi on C9. Or wo0t who sat out for 6+ months to begin playing franchised when he turned of age.

not 'any' team, a lot of teams have been pretty successful with quick changes. Some have been slower but that's the beauty, you see teams like EG starting to find their footing by Stage 2 and teams like C9 and many other EMEA teams finding their footing with roster changes by around 2-3 weeks.

posted about 2 years ago

It only took maybe 2-3 weeks for Wo0t to be slotted in comfortably in EMEA and it worked wonders, G2 slotted icy in and switched up their whole leadership structure removing neT. C9 Integrated Runi and moose completely switched roles within 3 weeks, ending the record with 5-1 in stage 1. Shouldn't players who have been playing fps for 5+ years not be slotting in faster and adjusting even quicker? I mean back in the day when FNS got yay and married 1 week before qualifiers for masters Berlin, they qualified for Berlin.

posted about 2 years ago

It's definitely not like FNS + Crashies + Victor have been teammates for 4+ years, and how they played with Chet for 2 of those years. New roster tho fully!

posted about 2 years ago

they had 1 top 4 at masters without yay, and since then they have been looking worse. Is it hard for you to understand how crucial yay was in their system? Yay struggling right now should also be proof of how integrated he was into that.

Yes I have been watching valorant since 2020, he used to get double faked by Shahzam and ran down by old Faze. He got the perfect system with Marved and Yay, alongside with the help of Chet they flushed out fresh comps and new ideas and created a dynasty in 2022. Nobody says TH is the best team because of Boo's calling.

edit: if he was so great he wouldn't get 0-4'd by a Chinese team that started playing valorant that year with maybe an igl/duelist with 1-2 years of fps experience. it's just time for people to move on with the cs frogs :D

posted about 2 years ago

he was never great, just had the right tools. He used to get out-called by Shahzam, babybay, and vanity in NA before he got yay. He he had good calling early in the year last year but that's about it.

posted about 2 years ago

he carried one of the best teams* , both NRG and yay has been struggling since

yep exactly, SEN are pretty advanced for this

Didn't call it the smart move, just shows how weak Optic is lol. We're seeing the effects of it right now :D, 2/5 Optic cores are not playing and the rest aren't doing too hot.

posted about 2 years ago

it's even crazier how Optic had so many close games and matches with the most broken agent ever. LOUD winning champs with barely using chamber that year and FPX slightly using it.

And what about that attacking side calling on Lotus? Every round they won on Lotus was a close round and the same on Sunset, every round they lost on both maps was flawless or 3-4 alive, and the whole team went negative both maps across. Let's look at g2 vs nrg, that's the real test.

posted about 2 years ago

You are acting like FNS and NRG weren't down 3-11 on CT side... Let's also not look at Lotus which they allowed a double sentinel comp get 8 rounds(not even accounting for the fact they won both pistols).

the general community won't respect Boostio for what he said but Nadeshot and the pros will. Vocalizing and putting pressure to get something is so common in the real world, this will only push 100T and the team forward.

but even icy wasn't doing good in tier 2/3 for say, he just performed very well in the trials and fit well into the G2 system.

budget roster where she wasn't allowed to get any good picks she wanted. I assure you if she gets the NRG, 100T, or SEN budget she will easily make it to every event

posted about 2 years ago

He gets put on terrible roles and then dropped because of bad performances that his team caused. I don't get how this is fair at all, I get dropping Marved because bro was in TS with FNS at 4 am before his do-or-die game against 100T, but this just sucks for Demon1

posted about 2 years ago

yeah I wonder if the maps are 1 sided or not :D

old jett lol

they're going to give 4 devour/dismiss for the buff, pretty fair tbh

would be a Demon1/yay hybrid

that's what I'm saying... I get that it wasn't the same roster but coaches control the roster...

Look at all iterations of Gen G roster

posted about 2 years ago

every team Lmapuddy has been on has failed, I don't know how he is coaching fnatic but boaster sees something in him. Gen G started getting success after he left the team, which says a lot. And lots of question marks recently about Fnatic since Lmapuddy has joined.

💀 💀 people were hyping up the nerd street lcqs like crazy back then

The second event was a good event, it was LCQ for the main Nerdstreet winter tourney

posted about 2 years ago

Shahzam wanted sean gares and boot camps but got neither of those(till the end). It is still impressive af how SEN won the first masters compared to how other teams during his time(100t, Fnatic) had lots of coaching structure with boot camps. Also all the uncertainty about if tenz will even stay on the team

boostio doesn't like his oppers on raze

posted about 2 years ago

btw it is also clear they have 0 practice on lotus as well if they were forced into the split pick tbh. People don't talk about NRG having such a limited map pool only playing into jett only Demon1 maps.

thoughts on the phoenix breach setup on NRG?

Victor - Phoenix
Crashies - Breach
Ethan - Flex
Demon1 - Controller
Marved - Perma Viper

I feel like it suits their contact playstyle very well, also with this comp it is structured to set up the viper and secondary controller which Marved and Demon1 are capable of.

You should've seen how much he was grilling TenZ in 2023 when he was dealing with Kyedae's situation, being sick, and all of the hate he was getting. It's all clout, if he cared about showing flaws he would have videos made on ardiis, yay, and Asuna last year but he didn't.

Congrats on beating 2 players that got auto-eliminated in tier 2 last year, 1 player that haven't played a match in 1.5 years, and a franchise player with <0.8 rating last year.

true I wouldn't be surprised if every comp becomes the same again toward masters. I can easily see the loud split comp and leviatans bind comp being used by everyone by the time of masters.
