Yeah, they have a huge amount of teams but even last year their #3 and #4 seeds were barely at these EMEA Masters level. These seeds ended up in 1-13 across all stages. And I feel like it's gonna be the same this year

Nah, it's gonna be better than kickoff. But it's not that hard given how bad they were. They upgraded in firepower and got rid of a terrible IGL (on top of being a super weird human being, I guess). I don't see them being worse, but again, from where they stand, it's easier to get better.

Same region + they struggled to beat them in a BO5, then they've seen them reverse sweep Fnatic and be pretty dominant in the Swiss stage, on top of BBL having no match rhythm for like 3 weeks. There's a lot of reasons for BBL not to pick M8. If Liquid goes past NRG, I believe they'd be picked before M8. And I feel like T1 is "safer" (again, if they qualify) cause I see them playing a more traditional Valorant that's easier to adapt to than the fast paced M8 playstyle

Think it's gonna depend on who's getting the first pick. I don't see BBL picking M8 if they go first, for example.

I mean, GX won 2 series in Kickoff + Stage 1, NRG 3.. it's the same thing at that point. Granted the second win in Stage 1 helped NRG into playoffs (for one game), but it's overall the same to me. If GX is a miracle run, NRG is a miracle run too, they have the same pattern.

It's just a debate about words, I'll give you that, but there's basically no difference in both teams' year results-wise

Oh I agree with that, but at the same time, you gotta give these teams some games to play as well. If they want to give teams opportunities to miss events, you gotta give them games and time to develop their strat books and rosters. Right now, you're bad in split 1 or 2, and your season is over

It's the consequence of the weird Riot schedule. If you want to go to champs, you can't afford to be bad for a month, you have no time and if it doesn't click right away, change is needed.

Hopefully next year's calendar is a bit more stacked, but I highly doubt it. If we could have both splits with everyone playing against everyone before playoffs, that'd be so much better
