We've seen many examples of teams being unable to go back to their prime form for your type of argument to be reliable.

Basically the way it works is that if the 3rd team from Group Omega doesn't get at least 2 wins their spot is given to the 4th team of group Alpha

Qck has to do with it, but I don't think that's the main reason many think it is. I think it a lot of it is due to coaching staff and saadhak not being in charge of the entirety of the team. If you put a decent duelist instead of Qck they will look somewhat better, but LOUD sometimes just look lost, make many bad calls and overall a lot of mistakes that they weren't making before.

Ngl, if I had to guess riot prob planned for SEN and NRG to take Spot #1 and Spot #2 in group Alpha and then have C9, G2 and KRU battle for 3rd spot, and to be honest when you look at it like that it doesn't seem like a bad idea. I guess they just didn't account for teams to massively upgrade/downgrade and now the format looks wack as shit lol.

As for the LOUD/EG getting eliminated bc they have to play good teams, I'd argue that's what the 2 win rule is for. If they can't get at least 2 wins out of the 5 teams from group Alpha, then maybe they just don't deserve to go to playoffs, as they probably wouldn't stand a chance against the top 3 from group Alpha and the top 2 of group Omega that DID get to beat the good teams from good Alpha.
