holy shit
I might just jump ship
I've backed fnatic since the dawn of vct, since even before they were signed
but this, this is just wow
maybe im just overreacting because we lost in a horrible fashion and the fact that VIT picked up Derke gives me an escape
imo they're the best team (which no longer exists) to not win anything
closest thing was lev last year, but they didn't go purely off of mechanics
sounds obscure because of how they performed but maybe you could even have 2023 SEN in that convo if you go only by title count
my suggestion when building a team like that would just be to not focus too much on existing roles and pick up the best aimers, and develop them in new roles if necessary
but you gotta admit
it is so satisfying to see a team just win everything by melting their enemies with raw aim
but I'm guessing money is also a factor then. Because why on earth else would you bench Derke in the first place
But the issue with that is that is then you don't want double dome, it's not ideal for that
this comp tries to do too many things at once
either you commit to a slow comp or a fast comp, I think what they tried to do here gave us the worst of both worlds
this is why I think the comp is bad: the idea is to play slow, the classic EMEA style. But it just doesn't work when you don't have passive info with KJ or ideally Cypher. Tejo seems like a gimmick on this map, and imo is mid at best, but the fact that Alfa clearly wasn't comfortable on him made it straight up bad. Kaajak was often messing up his tp timings which led him to be untradeable, he could sometimes bail himself out because of his aim but I really wasn't impressed
I'd flame him on 2 things. (and I say this as someone who wants the team to improve)
The abyss comp, I personally really hate it. I think it sold the map
the calling on the second half of split (somewhat fair enough after a certain point, since you're mentally boomed)
abyss was really bad, we choked on split but I think the abyss comp sold the whole series. 2 smokes no senti + tejo is not the play imo
kaajak can aim but his decision making really needs improve, especially on Yoru he has a tendency to tp in too early which makes him impossible to trade
chill out bro
no need to get so worked up over a vlr comment just because you don't agree 😭😭
I love crashies but I have to back Leo here

kaajak's been aiming well, he just needs to work on his decisions
really similar to rookie alfajer tbh, I can defo see the vision with him

(u right tho)
I think the comp directly correlates with that
the idea is to play double smokes to deny info so they can play defaults, but it just isn't effective without a Cypher
+ the Tejo pick is mid at best on this map, but putting it on alfa who doesn't seem comfortable is straight up bad imo
There's too many ideas crammed in to one comp and you end up getting the worst of all words
their abyss is just kinda bad, I really don't fw the comp and roles
if they perma ban it they can do decent imo
although I agree, qualing might be a bit too far because of VIT and TH
I think it's the second calling, he's looked way better this series
because if you look back at last year, it wasn't really his aim which was causing him to bot out, it was more his positioning, things like being caught out with util
I like the comp, I am hopeful
only potential doubt is crashies breach since I haven't seen it in a while but I trust he'll be fine
idk i like having all my thoughts in one thread so i can look back and see
but yeah schizo posting
agree, it overlaps with americas too
phew
just dont troll the comp last map and we're looking good
nah he just accepted a random challenge and it was me
https://i.imgur.com/9gY9ICa.png
dont look at the board
i used my prime sub on brother bear, i'll watch his highlights tho
his aim was good last map too, I like what I'm seeing from him
ok i think we're back on
boaster's been shooting really well, even last map tbh
alfa looks way more comfortable too, I'm not a huge fan of Chamber over Cypher but I can still get behind it, regardless it's miles better than the abyss comp
yeah, lost a lot of rounds to time
I think the comp didn't work, I feel like double dome + tejo on abyss isn't good
man
im gonna need some convincing for this no senti philosophy, not confident going in to fracture
yeah, kaajak can aim at a very high level, and he in fact was aiming well but his decision making left a lot to be desired if I'm being honest.
Makes you appreciate Derke's gamesense
Hopefully he can bounce back for map 2
imo it's good
he can often get more value than Jett if played correctly
we saw it a decent amount last year too
I can understand that viewpoint too
but then if we're playing double dome I wouldn't want a Tejo on this map, I think a Cypher would work way better if they want to go for the defaulty style
honestly I just wouldn't play double dome, I think astra is enough
tejo chron
astra boaster
that frees alfa to play something else
ngl I do not fw the Tejo pick on abyss
and its made worse by the fact that alfa has to play it, since they want to run double dome
OK HOLD UP
lets not get ecoed then get bonus and we might be back chat
