You're partially correct, but a good investor will see a team performing badly the exact same as a team consistently performing at 3rd-4th. Because neither are a good investment, if you want a good % return you need to go for the best, otherwise its always wise to invest into other companies. Hopefully 2 years is right, I think they'll arguably have an advantage over the 2021 non CN teams since they can probably get high quality practice in the form of scrimming APAC teams. More competition is better for everyone after all.

might be biased (flair) but yh i agree, I think single elim is fine but should be BO5 maybe for all elim/qual matches. People will hate the format no matter what, there are always pros and cons, but for an odd number of teams I think this was the best they could do.
