I think that verno didn't work for the team and it's sensical to replace one rookie than your entire core (bonkar suggested replacing FNS, two players said they would also exit, presumably s0m & Ethan - management sided with the fns core.)

It would be a lot to find a new igl and two players and build a new foundation in between kickoff and split 1.

Realistically, NRG with brawk had better chances of working

But in the long term, you know this is your last year with that core either way.

FNS and s0m are retiring, and you will need to find new players regardless

Having the most promising tier 2 prospect on your roster for the future would be much way smarter for the long term

Now next year they will have to completely rebuild
