Team secret which is comprised of a full Filipino roster is currently ranked 11th-12th Pacific stage 1. The team's declining as years and split go by is not just because of the other teams are getting better, but also because of nepotism. Usually, when players can't keep up with the meta or have reached their talent ceiling (skills) you look for young promising talents with fast reactions, better game sense, and keeping up with the ever-changing meta. In Team Secret's case it's a no, as they always try to re-build around a 35 year old player who has been in the roster for quite a while now. Jessievash has been a really good part in the history of TS' valorant scene and i must say impacted the game in terms of Filipino audience. For context, he has been a pro dota player before and also entered other esports scene though not successful as one would say, he has some influence.
He has been the Igl of the team for a long time until just now in Stage 1 which has been passed 2GE for reasons ( to have someone to blame on the team due to having 1-4 record during this split i guess lol) And for anyone who doesn't know Team Secret's manager is also Jessievash's wife. I don't wanna sugarcoat anything but it is the sole reason that's why he's the only one not getting replaced in this very outdated team. I mean valorant is really popular in the Philippines and the pro scene there is very much alive, how could you not scout a lot of young talented players in the country where the player base is up to millions? The supporters always say that you can't find anyone with the skills and experience unlike Jessievash but what they don't realize is the team needs fresh young bloods hungry for competition, so you mean there isn't someone with a better aim and better game sense than a washed 35 year old among millions? Nuh uh.
Regarding his teammates, Invy which is i consider as a top 5 player in terms of aim in the whole pacific region is hard carrying this team for years now ( honestly, he deserves a better team)
Jremy an inconsistent Duelist who also has a hard time keeping up with the meta, also won't be replaced (for a long time, probably) because of his connections. What i mean by that is he is a really close personal friend of Jessievash lol. This nepotism thing is widely-known among the Filipino's for awhile now, but they won't answer to this allegations lol, they are even getting flamed as "Asawa Esports" or "Team Nepotism" by their own fans.
I am just sick of it, as other team like Talon Esports are getting younger talents left and right and thus making them keep up with the meta, while this team is stuck building around a one-trick sova player who only sticks with old style. I don't wanna disregard his fragging ability or his experience, it's just that Team Secret is in dire need of hungry, talented players.

i genuinely hate map diff tiebreakers, i think that h2h should be 1st and most important, and then map diff between tied teams and then round diff between tied teams. nobody cares who farmed the 0-5 team harder, it is a horrible measuring of skill
