A major piece of why this is feasible that a lot of people overlook isn’t the short duration of the LANs but rather the amount of time you have before it starts - there are 3 qualifiers each year to LAN and if you qualify from major 1 you have a good 9 months to get everything set. If you qualify from major 3 there is a lot less time and this could lead to visa issues, either last year or two back a player named 916Gon was forced to play with another player named Kwanti due to visa issues and they didn’t speak the same language, similar thing happened to an Asian team but the funniest part about that is that 916Gon played way better with Kwanti than he ever would’ve with his old duo
