he isn't owning anyone. He's saying that the team fucked up a lot of things and he got all the shit for it. His point is that it happens to so many players who can look really bad only because their team fucked up a set play and those players have to improv or commit unforced errors that get caught on obs cam with no context.
They'll barely make playoffs. Then place 4-6th to miss out on Tokyo. Then have to perform at LCQ and somehow look great to win that to go to at least one international lan of the year, this time champs, to win 1 match against a great team then lose immediately after in stunning fashion. Alas, the 100T cycle
they had a way better game play that map
It looked legit to me. I thought they were keeping it and looks like they very well might be
it's not too bad. they've shown a variety with his util, so it's not too 1-dimensional. The only gimmicky thing is the questionable TP's into enemies that could be very punishing
that's actually been their normal Fracture comp w/ cNed on Yoru
I cannot understand how they got bcj, a proven top initiator, but decided they won't play him. Very much unlike Sen getting Marved but deciding to keep him benched when they have an incredible player ready to grab you some free rounds!
Your first bet was on the rank 9th team to beat the currently undefeated in the league and previous world champs?? Uhm...
Lmfao, you said 100T's firepower is extremely overrated? Way to completely ruin your point
Yeah, every game would be a draw if played perfectly. Like Chess
Damn, this is actually the most factual post I've seen on VLR
What a fucking storyline that would be if they all went into Tokyo undefeated!
I don't think anyone knows yet. More details will come when the beta approaches
It's not possible to have mid-season trading. Among probably a bunch of other reasons, fledgling teams would be frantically taking the best players from the challengers teams which would make both the Tier 1 scene (with no guarantee their new teams would work) and the T2 scene (which would have teams that to restructure mid-season) insanely unstable.
In short, currently, teams are being incentivized to make good decisions at the beginning of the split and they have the opportunity to sign up to 10 players if they anticipate they're going to have roster issues.
Not only that, but they'll be picking apart tier 2 challengers teams who are also trying to be stable and win ascension, so the whole T2 system would fall apart very quickly from the weekly invasion that would take their best players.
For the top-tier player quality they have, their prep looked terrible and they can't seem to invigorate Cryo to be their primary playmaker. idk... Maybe the coaching change really took its toll and Stellar's IGLing without set execs isn't good enough to be world contenders
Did you catch the full headline? They already had a 6th person signed for the active roster, their assistant coach. It's not a new player from outside of the league or even outside of the current team
idk if L1NK is gonna tweet but he did say this much at least: https://imgur.com/gallery/pT76VN4
Yeah, Scream had 100% the opportunity to make his bed this time and he proved he was incredibly incapable of leading or creating the so-called structure he said was previously lacking. He really needs to humbly play a star fragger role instead of trying to be superman and brainiac
L1NK in Sliggy's chat about Scream's tweet lol: https://imgur.com/gallery/pT76VN4
yeah, idk what he's on about. L1NK catching strays https://imgur.com/gallery/pT76VN4
Yeah, agreed. Jake and Runi have had extremely impressive debuts and Leaf is a one-man army. 100T's quality of players should be able to handle them with some decent coordination, but C9 100% deserved that win
C9 played well. And 100T also played so poorly with the uncoordinated and poorly executed site hits. It was embarrassing to watch them be so bland and making basic mistakes.
It would've been such a 'better' loss if they looked good and C9 just overcame them with everyone looking good. But yikes, some of the 100T attack rounds were shocking
thanks for this info!
I really want DSG to be a success story. Or MxM.
Also, sad to see Dicey get cut. Getting cut from 100T cuz they thought they didn't need an opper/jett and wanted more CS players and now gets cucked from Riot cuz broken Chamber got nerfed. Unlucko
Fair point on NRG. I think they can bounce back too from a slow start if they figure their stuff out.
100T, on the other hand, look dreadfully underprepared for their match and the coordination went out the window in the series, especially on attack. They had lazy, readable execs and are seemingly relying on individuals who may or may not be in good form that day to win them each game.
I got second hand embarrassment watching that 100T game. Where were the execs?? Where's the prep??
Thanks for the recap. I wasn't able to watch these games and this was very helpful!
gekko flash actually has like a 45m range or something like that iirc
lmao, if you're using chrome, RIP your cpu memory
After big games, the site can be slow to load as everyone is on here at once trying to refresh match pages for stats or starting threads to overreact to a single round, game and/or series
only around 20 tabs? baby numbers
I think they can still transfer within the league though right? I don't remember the full details, but I thought they could continue intraleague transfers but just can't pick up and drop players out of the league anymore
Couple epic fight scenes. Especially near the end. Good movie.
Yeah, idk what he's talking about. We can see the original announcement article on VLR stating an April 1st start date: https://www.vlr.gg/183784/vct-americas-league-dates-and-format-revealed
Yeah, like cypher trips, they could let the chamber trip have a 0-timer reset after pickup. Or they could give him 2 trips. His ult feels slower than a normal op. The agent also feels unfun. Maybe an extra meter or 2 on the TP. idk what else is there to change. I guess they could delete the agent as well and try avoiding escape mechanics in the future
C9 is the strangest org in NA valorant... I'll never understand the Xeta/Autumn transfer MID-SEASON in preparation for a partnered league that wasn't starting for like 6+ months. And now, after not that bad results, the team needs both an IGL and a yay-level replacement before the partnership split that starts in 3 weeks competing for the only 3 spots in BOTH Masters and Champs. Giga-levels of mismanagement.
W new feature!
Everyone's mentioning a potential top 20 at the end of the year, but I think it'd be really unique if it was a top 21 instead (which can double as an honorable mention among such a competitive list). And it's obviously impossible, but imagine derke actually falls down to the 21st spot
sep-dec will be off-season. Jan - Aug will be vct 2024
Gonna be saving up. I have to make this in person for the NA crowd :D
100T made just as many mistakes. 100T looked better both in terms of strats and experience
wait.. I actually need Americas to win this event so we can get 4 Americas teams at Tokyo
Been a 100T fan since they announced Hiko and been following them as they added Asuna, Steel, Nitr0, and Dicey. Several disappointing lows since then (e.g. I still hate that they dropped dicey just cuz they thought Jett/opping was not needed and/or wanted more cs players), but absolutely amazing highs as well (Masters Berlin will forever have a place in my heart). I expect them to get to their 3rd match at the very least here. It would be orgasmic if they made it to top 4. This is the best they have ever looked, so I really think their luck is going to turn them into championship contenders this year.
Even if they lose here early, I'll still be rooting for them to get to Masters Tokyo just because of the quality of the team and the fact that we will always have little falls every now and then.
Once the meta is established, you'll see shifts as teams try different comps and do retakes or holds based on prep. Right now, it's game plan vs game plan, and that favors T side
that headhunter shot from Yay and that deagle shot from Boostio, both on Haven, were DISGUSTING!
