Are the game qualities really worse than men's vct?
Cause people not watching women in other sports is because of lower quality games. Does that apply to val?

The production quality is worse than VCT but the games are pretty fun to watch
well SEN otters was def not fun to watch sadly, i do love the G2 team tho
Sen Otters was a hard watch but it made the teams they went against more fun :D
i enjoy watching gc compared to vct, purely because they are more scrappy and generally faster. there is nothing i hate more than just watching a team walk around the map getting orbs, this doesnt really happen in gc.
What im saying is: is there a huge skill gap between women and men in val? If no then why doesnt riot merge the two?
yeah generally. It applies to every sport because if you're taking from a much smaller pool of people, you're not going to get as much star talent. (gaming/sports is generally dominated by men, especially esports)
have you ever played ranked? it's closer to 85/15 at least in my lobbies
yes the game quality is lower for gc, but the game quality of the vct teams that didn't lose to tier 2 is on a different level than anything below it
gc is more on par with the top of tier 2 strategically and the bottom of tier 2 mechanically
other way around, GC doesn't suffer from a mechanical problem we're just a little dumb over here (so a coaching issue, which is another problem in its own right...).
esports is an entirely different thing, there's not many women who are invested in getting really good and rather are just having fun, and even less who are in high elo and want to compete or have the time to. I know some personally who are good at the game but just don't have drive to compete, and when things are already skewed for nb/women, it makes it much worse off for the GC scene. On to of that, the GC scene is having problems with personalities and people on their own, and there's no reason for some women to compete in those scenes over tier 3, dreaming of tier 2 and skipping GC entirely.
