cant believe to this date the match i had the most fun watching this year was G2 vs XLG at london 😭😭😭
cant believe to this date the match i had the most fun watching this year was G2 vs XLG at london 😭😭😭
ive found vct relatively boring ever since 2023 tbh
i used to watch almost all the americas games and international games
but 2024 onwards ive pretty much only watched 100t and nrg games
besides some playoff games in international events i guess
true bro, ive been watching them lately too, something in EU makes N4RRATE so insane lmao and i think they might have a chance to win champs this year if their form only improves further after stage 2
upests are fun, but they are more uncommon now that the game is mostly based off of who is a better aimer on the day
i do, but there still arent that many upsets.
The only one I can think of is Varrel vs T1 and Zeta vs RRQ
the update schedule for val just kills any concept of consistent teams and momentum between events, the idea of having event winners almost not even making the playoffs in their region to make the next event is the obvious example, how am i supposed to care about teams winning events if by the next event that team is shit cause the meta has fully changed.
compare to 2023 and 2024, the top 4 teams in 2023 were basically loud eg prx fnc for the entire year, sure prx started rough and loud had a rough tokyo, but functionally good teams were always good.
2024, same kinda thing, th, geng, sen, all good all throughout the year, each having 1 masters they did worse at sure, even when sen fully missed playoffs for shanghai they were super close to g2 who ended up not only making the event but ending 3rd so its not like they fell off a cliff and when you watched them play they didnt LOOK shit,
and then 2025 you had prx and fnc? although neither did well at m1, g2 did decent at all 3 is suppose but a mediocre champs,
and now 2026 you have like prx?
every year it just feels like the game gets less and less consistent, i get other people maybe like the miracle runs but if every fucking event winner is a miracle run it stops meaning anything.
I swear 2024 was the best year no cap, only thing bad of that year was the lack of diversity in comps but even then it was really cool to watch
2025 champs might be my fav champs ngl the crazy comeback FNATIC had made it from a snoozefest 3-0 stomp to one of the best finals imo, not even recency bias, had me thinking they were gonna pull off what they did in lockin
I just need TL to make an international playoffs then ill be content
kinda interesting how their best shot at making an international playoffs with this iteration was in toronto where they had 6 man roster
we should have kept penny and played double duel instead of picking up trexx
Less fun cuz everyone is too soft. no trashtalk or actual drama, no documentaries(can more teams make these pls?), and too many safe opinions.
Can we just get casters straight up trashtalking a player. Show a random fan trashtalking a player live and then have the player react to it. Have polls voting for the best and worst player in any match. More comms listen ins too.
this is never happening sadly, G2 does the ego thing and everyone hates them instead of appreciating how their ego makes it more fun to watch/hatewatch them then everyone complains about everyone being boring and the same.
interesting teams rn: varrel, kc, 100t, nova, geng are back (cope), bbl are back, fnatic downfall, heretics (fuck nows whats going on)
Nah vct Pacific is fun this once even emea is ok ok on fun scale americas is boring 🥱 like too obvious results and china I rarely watch but ig it's different over there too
they say that about every esport competitive lol, the game is not dying at most its plateauing
this season has been nothing short of entertaining.

yes it is, stomps everywhere and teams not giving af but with that being said, you are bound to get occasional banger games like this upcoming 100T vs Sen game
yea, im glad 100t looks strong now and i hope they carry this into next year, asuna works so hard so im happy his team is getting results now, dude deserves it.
