The round started like any other… until it didn’t.
“Sato, you’re alone,” kiNgg said calmly. “Just save.”
Sato didn’t answer.
One tap.
Two taps.
Three.
“Wait—” neon leaned forward. “He’s not saving.”
spikezin’s voice cracked. “He’s… he’s hunting them.”
Another enemy dropped. Clean. Effortless. Like Sato had personally decided the server belonged to him.
“Bro,” kiNgg whispered, “who gave you permission to be this guy?”
Sato finally spoke, quiet and deadly. “No one.”
Last player standing. A duel. A flick so fast it barely registered.
ACE.
Silence filled comms.
Then—
“THAT’S MY DUDE!” neon yelled.
spikezin was already laughing. “Nah nah nah, we’re not teammates anymore. We’re just living in Sato’s world.”
kiNgg sighed, but there was a smile in it. “Sato… you didn’t just win the round.”
Sato reloaded, calm like nothing happened.
“You took over the whole server.”
A pause.
Then neon added, “Say it again. I need to hear it.”
spikezin chimed in, “Yeah, yeah—Sato, tell us you love us now.”
Sato scoffed. “…Focus on the next round.”
“HE DOES,” neon shouted. “HE LOVES US.”
Sato muted his mic.
But he was smiling.
