accessibility, esports is still largely seen as a male space and GC is an attempt to even that split out. Barely any women play video games let alone at a level viable enough for esports, so the level of GC is inherently going to be worse, simple probability and sample size issue. If say that 0.1% of valorant players are esports viable, and say there's about 5 million valorant players in the world, and 25% of the valorant population is female, then there would be about 3750 esports viable male players in the world and 1250 esports viable female players in the world.
it's honestly true, why else do you think GC gets so many pity compliments, they just aren't it
its because i think some differences in brain biology women are less inclined to be absolute chuds who dont touch grass and play valorant all day. this means men have a far larger talent pool because more of them grind the game. whereas not as many women grind the game to the same extent.
