i have a 240hz monitor and averages the 240fps with worse gpu than u, u can try to turn down the hz since 240 - 300 aint that much of a differance. plus u'll get more fps in game from turning down ur hz
4060 is enough to run valo on like 600+ fps
upgrading the cpu would def get u more fps
js make sure its compatible with ur motherboard and its way better for games has x3d on the end
If u have money to spend, Ryzen 7 7800X3D
If ur on a budget, Ryzen 7 5800x, Ryzen 7 7700
this is like asking Elon Mush to buy Football stadium just because he has money.
LMAO which ryzen 5 is it? if its an X3D dont bother its not going to give you any performance boost that's noticeable. If its a non X3D you might wanna wait a bit for zen 6 to release and the prices of zen 5 chips to fall of a cliff so that you can get even a ryzen 9 9900X3D for what would cost you a ryzen 7 9800X3D right now. again this wont really be that much of a noticeable difference for you if you only play val.
your system is more than fine for val as long as your games frame rate is more than your monitors refresh rate. Thats all you need.
my personal advice is to wait for zen 6 to release and buy a new CPU 3-6 months after cause the prices for the zen 5 will drop by at least 30%. ofc this is 2027 stuff so if you HAVE to replace it this year then buy a 7800X3D or a 7700x
