I feel that the trile elims format is not good for kickoff at all. Triple elimination means that your initial games matter a lot, as going down a bracket means many more games you have to win to stay alive/qualify. This is a really bad thing for most teams, as in the kickoff, teams are still adapting to roster changes. Teams that click later in the playoffs do much worse, even though they are better per se, just because they didn't get good synergies immediately into the new season. Also, this new format hurts ascended teams a lot. Many ascended teams have players that are not old enough, and if the brackets are triple elimination, they are either immediately eliminated or go down to the lower so fast that they have no chance of coming back and going to masters, so the full normal roster never gets a chance to play before the team is eliminated.
Why triple elimination should be saved for stage 2
whats wrong with flair twin, i just feel like its unfair, especially to teams like ULF, even though I didn't cheer for them yesterday and I am not a fan of them. With that performance against a team like Liquid seems unfair, especially because they will never get a shot to display their full roster in kickoff.
Its better than last year, instead of 2 chances they get 3 tihs year and if any teams goes down 0-3 they probably deserved it i.e TS
how would double elim be better for ascended teams in any way lmao, triple elim gives MORE chances for teams that lose because otherwise the teams that now have to climb back from lowers would just be out if we go back to old format,
