how is tier 2 AMER so bad

I watch the apac and emea games and these guys look like they would have a chance at being mid in t1, but americas t2 just looks awful, like actually none of these teams deserve to ascend and the poor team that does is just gonna get murdered like 2g, teams gotta start trialing actual players and not just ranked demons
