Looking at past matches, you can see that G2 vs NRG, G2 always wins dominantly. Does that mean if G2 somehow faces NRG in the playoffs, they would've been sent to the lower bracket and possibly eliminated?

For sureeee. Ok but I think if G2 didn't troll their map picks, they MIGHT have beaten DRX and gone through lowers to meet NRG. Ik they would've faced PRX but PRX looked a lot worse after they first played G2
