Why are you upset that an NA team has won Champs twice now if you're an American?
Sentinels is only ever good team, to win in the fashion that they do. Objecively if you saw NRG play, they are trash without the Odin, they. 1 player discovering that you don't need to fully peek the enemies to shoot sat them, abusing the best maps for Odin, will fall of a be mid tier initiator after riot realizes how bad for the game Odin is with it's paper walls, full damage if you shoot through a corner and don't peek completely was such terrible valorant to see. They did nerf reserva ammo for vandal/phantom because of kills through smokes, so this legit was the most fluke champions to ever win!
Fnatic used the Odin in the finals as well did they not? Blame Riot for allowing such a gun to be used in professional play not NRG lol
yep he did, plays out of tree a lot using it, but people are just salty that brawk has been the only one to use it as effectively as he has been. if the gun’s been out so long and no one has perfected such a playstyle that clearly gets you wins then props to brawk for being the first to utilise it well
it does ruin the competitiveness of val somewhat, as a 17% hs rate is in no way “precise gunplay”, but valorant has never been about gunplay in the first place anyway
also the age-old argument of “if it’s so good then why has no one used it before”
Yeah those who are salty about the Odin are just upset that NRG used it better and that's no ones fault but their own.
Whole NA region just grappling on NRG, while Sen just wasnt even there, G2 didnt win a Game and mibr (not even na xD) got as good as TH.
EMEA meanwhile, TL almost won it in the without discussion most difficult group, Giant X got into Playoffs in a group against PRX and SEN as an absolute Underdogs, and Heretics who where put against there absolute counter in their elim game got as good as the so called „best player of the game“.
So yeah im really proud of my region in this torunament, even tho they didnt win.
- tl was nowhere close to winning their group
- gx were in no way underdogs when you retrospectively look at s0n, and they looked shaky against xlg
- heretics had a pretty good run in groups, but if you look at g2 now…would you call them perfect valorant?
th proceeded to get smoked by aspas, beat out-of-form gx 2-1 in lowers (but they played well, not discrediting them), and lost to prx. even if prx wasn’t in LR2, it would’ve been fnatic and th does not win against fnc. would you call that unlucky?
- I think it was, and also who says that they havent won against NRG, they only played DRX and lost against them, we didnt even see Tl against NRG.
- We have a saying in German „Nach dem krieg ist jeder General“, that means that retrospectively you can say everything and say that youd know it before, but you cant say that you expected GX to win against SEN or look so good against PRX.
- Actually TH proved to win against FNC last year champs (https://www.vlr.gg/378825/team-heretics-vs-fnatic-valorant-champions-2024-ubqf) and if you wanna say „not the new FNC“ look at this https://www.vlr.gg/510155/fnatic-vs-team-heretics-esports-world-cup-2025-gf. And tbh yeah Heretics didnt play that well against MIBR but back2back2back collat? This is just mad.
So i actually think EMEA got a bit unlucky with their enemies, i wont say they had deserved to win, but im nevertheless proud of them.
- nrg beat drx, drx beat tl twice, decently fair to say nrg would beat tl but this is just an assumption so sure
- fair enough, i give you that but a LOT of people had gx beating sen, not everyone but at least 40% of the vct fanbase did. and after that, no one expected them to look so much worse vs xlg
- i don’t think vlr would accept EWC as evidence to justify anything but sure
overall, fair enough but such is the nature of random draws
- When we follow this logic TH had to win Champs. NRG 0:3 G2 —> G2 2:0 TH —> TH 0:3 TL —> TH wins against NRG
- Yes, everything i wanna say that they were by far not the favourites in the torunament, and for that they did pretty good.
- EWC was a midseason event, so there is not even an argument like „they had to find how they could play together because there are new them“. It was a midseason and everything was set in FNC alrdy.
Yea it is, and i dont even say that EMEA would have deserved to win, but they didnt so bad, so this na-ragebaiting is just nonsense
