There is no point of having an ascension finals right? No team is going to T1 in 2027 so it is better to give them a spot in Stage 2 playoffs
Rito is using brains

instead of playing to play the next year they are playing to play on the biggest stage of that year

its an improvement imo

1 year of exposure and revenue vs a CHANCE to play in biggest stage, ok

no one knows about that, yet

just a speculation

considering they stated in the video that they were so excited to include more teams that they did it a year early its a safe inference that there is more T2 inclusion to come

but if they rework it for 2027 then that means it might be more open for all teams

1 year of exposure for what? BOOM, 2G, Gentle Mates, Nongshim got very little out of franchising since they didn't make any meaningful impact in VCT

u could argue all the team u listed, except for gentle mates, they literally made impact bozo 😭

if it's even true, they were the reason emea replacing koi

I mean its still an advantage because there is a lot more money in tier 1, there is better competition, and if you do really good then Riot might consider your team for a spot in franchising when they refranchise over a team like Furia.

hey the thing is they said even the teams that just make it to stage 2 playoffs in t1 from t2 will get a substantial amount of stipend or pay that is good enough for them to justify the cost of running that porject for the year - said by leo faira
