During the launch event last sunday, Bobby (CEO of Tencent Esports and Publishing Director of VAL Mobile) came out to drop some news on the Esports stuff in China

There will be a "National Competition" series like the one for PC version
Tencent will inject 10,000,000 CNY or roughly $1,300,000 annually as prize pool
The event will feature four tracks:
1. Open Class = All teams can compete subregionally
2. College Class = Limited to teams in collegiate/university level
3. Platform Class = Similar to Open but also focused on Content Creator, you are repping the platform you're streaming in
4. Co-op Track = OnePlus phones is VALM's Official Esports phone partner so they will host their own qualifier

Basically like how Blender tournament looked like in EMEA, except in China this is common thing that almost all of Tencent's esports has it
No dates yet, but if you remember the Creator Cup that someone posted here before that one runs until September. So this is after September

Game launches in China and will exit beta on August 19

Not yet, but I believe its close given the upcoming launch in China is that they are already exiting Beta. There was a very small test last week that users were able to play the English language version in the Chinese test and it was mostly 70% translated already.

Saying it would be announce at Champions isnt too far fetch but I hope its not the case because the crowd would boo it (wrong target audience)

French love mobile games, they won't boo smth like this. But champs seems like an early announcement, games generally take pretty long to come out of china so idk
