What's the cause of his underperformance this year? He just seems like a shell of himself compared to prior years, I don't even think it's the G2 system bc he still has a lot of freedom. Is it Yoru jail? Can we please let him play Raze ffs?

he was like this in 2023 too where he was really struggling and massively improved in tokyo and champs, 2024 he had really low lows and some high highs. jawg is a great player fs but he’s always been like this

Aw true, I just want to see them scrap the Yoru for now and run Raze. He's been sick recently so I'll cut him some slack but they gotta let him spread his wings on Raze.
This is the epitome of the saying, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." They only looked good because that EG team was good together. Notice how Demon1, Ethan, c0m, Boostio, and Jawg have yet to find the same success outside of that team individually?
jawgemo made a masters final after EG while being the best player on his team in that game so i’d say he found some sort of success

Jawgemo has had some really high highs this year on G2, but overall he has been lackluster. It's not like G2 isn't a well-oiled machine like EG was. He just hasn't been playing the same. For the rest of 2023 EG I agree, Boostio is a complete shell of himself. At least c0m has had some good moments on LEV the last 2 years, and Ethan has had some standout games (when not IGLing lol). Demon1 looked good on LEV this year but just didn't fit what they needed. Boostio just fell off the face of the earth fragging-wise.

G2 Yoru. Leaf is not there to carry and Trent needs Leaf. G2 has no carrying duelist, keep playing Yoru and finish 5th in Americas G2 no problem. PRX and TH have a trophy, G2 never will because of stupid decisions leading to chokes.
I mean G2 needs to run double dive to gain him some confidence but it is against their will
