its more valorant for ppl to watch, if u think the format is stupid or the schedule is bad simply dont fucking watch it. (the schedule is pretty bad tho)

I'm fine with people disliking it for its sub-optimal format and qualifiers. It's a miracle they can fit a 16-team tournament in the 6 days riot gave them.
They made up for the opening matches being Bo1 by: Formatting group stage as double-elim, making sure every team plays at least 1 Bo3 match, and schedule it so it's impossible for a team to lose and fly home in the 1st day.
but I can never understand those who are screaming sportswashing. Even if you know the deepest darkest secrets of the saudis, It's not that hard to enjoy EWC whilst disliking their government at the same time. EWC isn't filled with any propaganda, you won't owe them anything by playing or watching, and their human rights violations aren't suddenly justified because Team Falcons won it all. Enjoy the games, take the money, come home.
