Has anyone been phished on here before? I get the links are for the articles on vlr but I am pretty sus rn since my mom became a victim of a scam a few days ago
The danger with phishing is you. There's not much an attacker can do to you or get from you, if you use an up-to-date modern browser nowadays. As long as you don't input your private information on a form that is on a shady website or execute any content downloaded, you should be just fine. What you expose just by clicking is your IP address, user agent, screen resolution etc.. If you notice weird popups going on, just restart your entire browser to make sure nothing is running in the background.
If you're unsure about a specific link, you can also run it through VirusTotal to see if it's flagged in one or more antivirus databases. And when you hover over a link, it'll show you the actual link on the bottom left. Look for any character substitutions like dlscord, goo0gle, youtude.. You get the point.
