HOW LONG TILL I FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH MY SPLINT

off topic but i just got a new tmj splint made today, it feels quite weird, i have tmj on my right side as only my left molars used to touch, splint has made it so i have almost equal, if so a bit more contact on my right side now and it feels quite uncomfortable, how long till i feel comfortable? 2-3 weeks?
