Surely the teams that put in work and won games should get a day of rest and not the teams that lost their matches????

This seems like they just don't wanna send teams home 3rd day of matches? If that's thr case make a better schedule dummies, idk who thought making a Swiss stage for 8 teams is a smart thing to do.
Imagine playing 2 days in a row and then going home, that would be so much worse
No? This way the team that goes 1-0 -> 1-1 has an extra day to prep compared to the teams that go 0-1 -> 1-1
Basically both teams get a day off after their respective loss to fix issues, reducing the snowball potential slightly
those who win - already have enough prep so back to back play days
however those to lose - riot gives them another day to prep and be better so more good competition
