Its kinda ratty that they want to pretend that theyre some moral org, yet they still choose to participate in the blood money tournament like the rest of the orgs

They need to get money from whatever source they can. remember they can't even pay they players good salary after champs win. Nothing new. Many org are in it for the money. Everyone seems like they are all good and ahit but inside everyone need money in esports.

This is the least "excuse" and "justification" that any Org has put out. It's very direct "yes we are in the tournament and yes it is bad but we're not taking the advertising blood money"

crazy how its the orgs, players, staff that get the most criticism when its riot that licensed the game for ewc, and this is not riot's first year in ewc.

If EG didn't participate to stay on moral high ground then they would put their entire team and fanbase at a disservice. They have an extremely competitive roster and need these reps to not fall behind from every other NA team playing in the EWC or at Toronto.

Basically, like it or not this was the correct decision from them.
