that riot considering when they choose the orgs to franchise? i mean like, mibr for example, they were kinda trash even in brazil competitive scene and they got snuck in somehow while optic for example, didnt get a chance
Money, willingness to invest into valorant, reputation, (and maybe affliation with league)
they should do a rework about it in the league, isnt the same it was 3 years ago, some orgs dont even deserve to be there
well if they are in league its because riot already approve of them hence more likely to be favoured.
there is a re-evaluation period in 2027 where all partner teams contracts are up for review
aka some orgs could lose their contracts with the league in favor for others that want to join the scene
so the contract with the orgs lasts 5 years? didnt knew that
I think it was only 4 and since china started late it was only 3 for them unless they have different rules.
23, 24,25, 26 seasons, itll be between the end of champs 2026 and kickoff 2027 for re-eval, so 4 seasons.
riot cared more about how much orgs can advertise/promote games more than performance so they can profit more
its like the european super league of valorant that was put into practice
Because orgs like FaZe and Optic were largely crypto affiliates and had members/owners lure kids with NFTs and shitcoins.
Other orgs showed more interest I’m long term investment and support for riot infrastructure (GC teams, Academy teams etc)
wtf is this take bro
the objectively correct one
With research and memory, TSM, Faze, Optic are all involved in Crypto and especially TSM who paid dearly for it.
never look that much into these orgs but thats interesting to know
