Valorant World Cup

so basically i made a world cup in which all the regions compete
i watch soccer/football so it is modeled exactly like the FIFA world cup:
8 groups, 4 teams per group......after the group stage, the 2 teams that qualified go to the round of 16
(the qualified teams have a star by their name)
after they have single elimination bracket
and thats about it.
here are all the regions and how many teams they get
NA 5
EU 5
CIS/TR 5
BR 5
LATAM 2
KR 2
JAP 2
SEA 2
OCE 2
MENA 2
this is just a concept so dont hate, also i have my own predicitions

Very cool that you did this! I don't really want to critique the predictions, so how did you make the groups themselves? Also, how did you decide the number of teams from each region? Imo, NA and EU should have more, CIS and TR should have 2 each, OCE and MENA should have only 1 ea.

i randomly put the groups together, but no group has teams from the same region. and for the number of teams from each region, i kind of realized that NA/EU/BR should have more but i agree about the NA/EU have more and CIS/TR have less... again just random

I might be braindead, but I feel like a better format might be: 8 NA, 8 EU, 2 CIS, 2 TR, 4 BR, 2 LATAM, 2 KR, 1 from the rest

thats actually pretty good, but i feel like other regions will get mad if they only get 1 or 2 teams...but you know brazilians will get mad that they dont have 8

Yeah, agreed. I just think NA and EU are the most dominant, and I don't think BR has more than 4 quality teams, because afaik it's Furia, GL, VKS and the rest r pretty close

Actually, we brazilians know that NA and EU need more teams in championships because they bring more investments to the tournaments, but in comparing skills aspects, we also know that we're all in the same stage than NA and EU (sorry if my English has something incorrect, but i've tried my best 🤣)

There is CS:GO exemples like Fallen, coldzera, TACO, fer, fnx, boltz and others

In Valorant we have mwzera, aspas, Sacy, xand, gaabix, BLD, fznnn, teddyx and so many others

Also, maybe, you could seed the teams based on vlr.gg ranking and group them that way. (#1, #16, #17, #32) (#2, #15, #18, #31), etc.

Well VCT is made to have a World Cup in Valorant. Considering that, this is good :)
