Anyone know how the points are working do FPX just get the points wherever liquid place and liquid just play for fun and to try and win?

i don't think it would be completely fair since Liquid is EMEA #4, personally i think FPX should get the points of a team who finishes 7th/8th

FPX would've done much better than liquid (even win masters) so I don't see it fair if they get liquid's placement poits. And IMO liquid shouldn't get points since they shouldn't even be there and they should just get the 55 points for 4th place. If liquid get points in masters and riot give a "fair" amount of circuit points to FPX too, then the EMEA cirtuit will be hard af to quialify to Champions 2022, and if liquid does go to Champs because of points in this masters at least one deserving team will be out

no this is fkin unfair just give fpx a playoff stop in the next challengers thats it fpx could not attend so they replace them with liquid think of it like football or something

heres the thing

LQD deserve the points of their own placement, as they placed it, not FPX

but FPX also deserve some points in the event(at least min, as they were the ones who played the bracket to qualify).

it is unfair to put FPX's fate/amount of points fully into liquids hands, as then they could just throw and do wacky shit

tbh its a competition, less points for fpx means more chances for LQD in the future to play LCQ or champions

I think its a similar situation to what happened with Bren/Team Secret last year. Liquid gets whatever placement points they earn there, but FPX will get minimum participation points (just an assumption)

But that would be unfair as FPX is first seed and I think at least half the points liquid will earn should go to FPX

I hope FPX gets the minimun ammount of points they would have gotten since its a pretty nice ammount because they got a bye to playoffs, dont know about Liquid, do we know if they will just play for fun and glory or will they also get prize money and vct points?

liquid only get 50% points during iceland master..if they get 250 points, so 50% is 125 points only..meanwhile FPX have 125 points too cause the minimum points u can get in master is 125

I think the most fair is to give all the points TL can do in master to FPX, but TL gets a minimum is 125 instead. It's not bad at least they get it 70 free points out of what they should have been 55, but they'll get all money prize whatever they can.

I actually like this take, give FPX Liquid's points and give Liquid the minimum 125. I think that's the fairest especially since Liquid shouldn't even be there.

It wouldn't be very fair if FPX only got 125 points because the other 3 teams representing the EMEA region have very high standards. They are all good enough to make it to the top 6 of the tournament, which FPX will have a hard time keeping up with them.

I feel like liquid shouldn’t get the points for attending masters(since they shouldn’t be there anyways) and instead gain points depending on how many points they would have earned on top of the minimum points for attending. Meanwhile FPX should get the minimum circuit points or the points gained by liquid(without attending points deducted) depending on which Is highest. Sry if this was confusing lol
